MGO Most overated peice of...

Beware of VENT: So I've always thought my psn was pretty decent, but to be honest I've never known anybody who had a ps3 before other then myself So I never knew if it was easy or hard to play with them. Everyone I knew had a 360. Finally one of my best friends had a ps3 so I was like yo lets play some MGO I haven't played it in months. So we start it up and wait an hour and a half to download a patch(1.33). Finally his finishes, but at the very end his MGO froze and he had to restart it. I finished my download and when it loads I goto the reward store just to have to freeze on me. It claimed it was still loading, but I tried to close the browser and it showed the loading screen, but nothing loaded after 5 minutes of seeing the background stuff constantly moving etc. This game by far has the worst log in I have ever seen in my life. Completely makes PSN's service useless. The community is completely non existent.

Also there are NO servers meant for newbies so it was VERY hard for me and my friend to find a compatible server in which we can both join. He is level 5 and I am level 3 and the servers that were available had average levels of 9+. So finally I find a newbie server that says "Newbies ONLY!!!!!!!!!!" So when I get there I play one round and have no idea what match type it is or what I'm suppose to do. I just see a bunch of zombies running at me. Next thing you know a guy says "kick xxxx(me)" I reply "What am I doing wrong?" Boom I'm banned!. 3 hours of waiting to play a game for ****. Honestly I thought MGS4 was a solid 10 for me until I tried playing with a friend. Worst community online experience this gen by far. I don;t blame PSN because in the past I have set up decent games with my parties using COD4. All I'm saying is whoever is the network managers at Konami need to be replaced for being so ****ing stupid. Vent Over. Also before people automatically say "He sucks!!!" I have 170 kills and 70 deaths which I don't think is bad at all for a beginner.

Nah, Im with ya. Same with the guy that has the foxhound emblem I think. We are few in numbers but its cool because alot mgo'ers know each other lol. Its a preferred taste I think and mainly for the big time fans of mgs with a tolerance of lag and inconvenient menus :P

Whatever, I wouldnt trade anything for mgo since its one of a kind

I really hate that, when a perfectly good online game is ruined by somethins so trivial. Its a similar case with GeoW2. Even worse since they already had a good set-up from GeoW1.

The characters move so slow that it makes it very easy for headshots. The faster the characters are in online TPSs/FPSs, the less useful sniper rifles are.DeathScape666

I think im the only one on this board that likes mgo, i even bought mgs4 just for mgo, and how can a game be overated if everyone keeps saying its terrible

The find compatible games thing can be said for any online game. For example , on my xbox 360 I went a week before I got to play a full game of online multiplayer for Grand Theft Auto 4. Whenever I would join a player match to learn the modes before going into ranked, I was constantly getting kicked in the lobby. Then I try ranked matches but then I'm kicked for not holding my own since I'm going trial and error. It wasn't till I was venting on the mic a guy said he'd make a room for me, low and behold I got to play all the online modes with the guy and his crew and on top of that it was with a rockstar developer as I got the achievement. So trust me any game can be a nightmare online.

MGO is not overrated.

Umm I think I've played maybe 3 games of MGO in my lifetime. I'm pretty sure me and about 98% of others who bought MGS4 bought it for the single player.

Very few people liked MGO anyway. It's not overrated at all.
