MGS IS a System Seller!!

One thing ive noticed time and time again in these forums is people saying that MGS is not a system seller! Ummm yea it is.. If MGS is not a system seller then what is?! Even when I play gears on xbox live and someone brings up the PS3 the first thing anyone says is "Man the only reason i want a PS3 is for MGS4 because that games looks awesome" Or even when im talking to casual gamers like at gamestop or something they say that MGS4 is the game they are most looking forward to and besides that, didnt MGS 2 sell like 5-6 million copies, yea I would definatley consider that a system seller.MikeCOD80

yea but your also forgetting one thing.. How many PS2 owners back when MGS 3 released, sure NOW the fanbase is over 120 million, but MGS 3 came out like 3-4 years ago

its obviously not going to sell alot of systems when there are 120 million sold.. ala MGS2 sold 7+ million when there were less than 30 million PS2. I really don't see your point.

MGS3 SUBSITENCE got AAA... have touched a MGS game? i got everyone cept Portable ops well main series xD it got aaa cause it Online was pure pwnage... it lame to diss one of the best series ever i hope Big boss smites you from the grave

And MGS3 subsistence got a 9.0 since the camera was fixed. Have you not seen the MGS4 gameplay footage and played the past MGS games? If not, stop using MGS1 and MGS3: Snake Eater as ownage when MGS2 got a 9.6 and most of the problems have been fixed in MGS4.

I consider any game that reaches the 3 million sold mark a system seller regardless of what system it is on or its userbase.

So you could only buy MGS3 right when it came out? No, any PS2 owner can walk into a store today and buy it.

MGS4 will sell millions; but those millions are the die hard PS3 fans who already own one.
