Well that is just one of the editors scores, the average of the three editors which is listed on the top and right of the page shows that it is A. EIther way great score

The A includes user scores, the real score is an A-, which according to gamerankings is an 85.

No A- = %90 A = %95 A+ = %100

GR are the ones that translate letter grades that way for some reason, not 1up.

Well, here's a standard north american grading scale:

• A = 80 or higher
• B = 70–79
• C = 60–69
• D = 50–59
• F = 0–49

• A = 80 or higher

I am not on about the fact that A- is 90% but you said A+ is high 90's which in fact it isn't because GTA IV got an A+ and in GR's is said %100. You might be right about the fact that %85 is A- but not right about everything you said.

A- = 90-91% i guess... *shrugs

Metacritic considers an A- from 1UP a 91 (MGS4)... but a B- from 1UP a 67 (NG2). :P

They even say it themselves:
