MGS4 confirmed for 360?????

I hope this isn't a joke because it would be really cool.

Despite being initially announced as a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is now also going to be released on Xbox 360.

There are also unconfirmed rumours that there may be a Wii version, albeit a cut down one.

Some source claim that the 360 version will come with exclusive content that won't be found on the PS3 edition.

A Konami spokesman said, "The game is set after the events of MGS2 and players will reprise the role of top secret agent Solid Snake with appearances by characters throughout the MGS series. With the addition of online capability, MGS4 is a leading product and will signal the dawn of a new gaming era for the MGS series."

that link gives specualtion but the guy who wrote that has no credible proof either. Plus I don't see anything about this on any big name game sites. So, for me, its still this hopeful lemming's dream. until we see this pop up on bigger gaming sites.

This is just getting annoying now. Until Konami or Kojima says it, IT AINT HAPPENING LEMMINGS SO STOP MAKING THESE THREADS!

could make sense since there isnt that big a user base on the ps3 yet or they could just delay the game on the ps3 until more people have them,,

There is a PS2 version and it'll probably sell more than the PS3 version and X360 version.FinalEvil

i might have some proof. on the kojima productions website @ http://www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/english/index.html, there is a link to ryan's blog (ryan's blog can also be found on hideo kojima's site). in the podcast around 4:00 he talks about mgs4 coming out sometime in march 31, 2008 or the beginning of konami's fiscal year. he also talks about mgs4 not being exclusive to the ps3 and says that snake will make an appearance is SSBB. just listen to the podcast.

konami develops and publishes the game entirely (except for the pc, ms published it). i would suspect konami holds all rights to the series.

I think that Kojima Productions owns the rights, but Konami pays the bills.

He says that in regard to a incorrect quoting. Joystiq made a mistake and he correcting them. He never said what they claimed he said.

I think that Kojima Productions owns the rights, but Konami pays the bills.

so doesn't this mean that its not Konami's desicions whether or not the game gets ported? or is it the other way around?

What he said doesn't confirm what you are suggesting.

but what he says does confirm it's not exclusive. it in no way suggests it's coming to the 360, it may go to the pc. the wii is too weak for the game they are creating so the next logical choice in consoles would be the 360. wait until they announce it later this year.

Konami, as far as I know. But they're not going to do anything with the series without Kojima's consent, I can assure you that.

not only that but sony is producing his MGS movie, so not only does he not want to port it but he has motivation to not do so. Mandingo101
