MGS4 downgrade Confirmed!

Did anyone see the MGS4 trailer today? It looks less impressive then the last one at TGS.

Snake's character model looked crisper with less rough edges in the new trailer. That's about the only difference I could see, because I could only watch it in SD.

I didn't notice any sort of downgrade, however.

Yea it does look slightly downgraded, but I will wait till I see a HD trailer of it before I judge it, I'm sure it will look better when its closer to release and we know the PS3 can do pretty graphics so I'm sure its not a big problem for Hideo and his team. rat_pac

Just so you know im not a lemming, or belong to any of the fanboy tribes, but I do plan on getting a Xbox 360 and PS3, I was never going to get a Nintendo Wii though and Nintendo's showings this year just hit home on why NOT to get a Wii, I just think that it was poor video quality and if you can direct me to a HD version of the MGS4 trailer it would be greatly appreciated ^_^

I really gotta get back into console gaming, I've been a hermit too long :D

i'm buying this game too... it will be GREAT!. but Sony bought the wrong graphics card. it shows in almost every game.

Im downloading the HD trailer off of the PS store before I have a final opinion, seeing the game in full on a screen it's meant for is best for me. Yeah, computer screens can do HD, but come on.

I dont think kojima is going for that photo realistic vipe, mgs4 has its own artistic style, like gears of war which looks totally over the top and no way realistic but it still looks fantanstic, this is down to the art direction.

What people have to realize is a game does'nt have to be photo realistic looking to be considered graphically amazing, theres a difference, take OKAMI for example. If you want to play a game that is striving to be as realistic as possible in graphics terms, look at C0D4 or crysisboth these games are pushing for this, kojima and his team is'nt. Mgs4 is'nt in this catergory.

anyways it was NOT a downgrade? did you see how DETAILED meryl looked compared to the last trailer? not only that she actually looked hot...just look compare the hair she had from both trailers...huge upgrade on the little details...

Yeah all of the E3 videos are on the PS Store in HD, and they all look great! Some of them are hidden in other sections for fun though... they want use to look around.
