storyline - check, better than any game out

cutscenes - check, the most cutscenes in a videogame

length - check, 25-30 hrs of gameplay and cutscenes.

appeal - check, this is clearly for people who are tired of 'casual games'

For me i already preordered this because i feel this is the most defining game of this generation yet and that they WORKED FOUR YEARS TO DELIEVER THE MOST KICKbutt game to your home DESERVES UR SIXTY DOLLARS, because these SIXTY DOLLARS will be used to make more awesome games for you in the future by kojima. And to top that off theres an online mode.

If you haven't preordered this yet, comon, its only ONE DAYS OF WORK WITH MINIMUM WAGE (7.50x8 = 64), dont be cheap =).

Don't have a ps3? no games? lies. You got the whole ps2 library, i myself have 10 ps2 games and bunch of ps3 games waiting for me to finish. For 500 dollars... its not that bad considering how many of you got iphone/itouch and it only can do so much.....

no thanks. you're forgetting MGS4 is a total niche game. it really really doesn't appeal to a wide range of gamers. i consider myself a hardcore gamer and no matter how good some people think MGS is i'll always find it lame and a bit too wack for my tastes. i just feel so hokey when i play it, can't take it seriously in the least.

that said i'm sure it'll still be a critically acclaimed game, but there's no way it'll be the best exclusive game this gen.

which will not happen based on the impressions i've heard / read about the online beta. gamespot gives quite a bit of weight to online components for games - and i think in the end the score will suffer because of that. i can see a 9.5, but not a 10... but likely a 9.0.

no, the point is that dual 1080 isn't possible on the PS3.... it was just BS marketing hype from Sony execs that don't know what they're talking about. dual 1080 would require 2 HDMI ports, and a system with far beefier hardware than the PS3.

hey man, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't great. tons of people love GTAIV online, nearly everyone I know that got into MGO said it was slow, boring, controls were terrible, laggy, hit detection seemed off, yada yada.

unless MGO miraculously adds in an extra 9 play modes, and adds some massive maps, fixes gameplay and lag, addresses control issues, and ups the pace a bit i think it'll definitely be the soft spot of the game.

I disagree, Metal Gear Online is a massive improvement over the last versions of Metal Gear Online and while I don't believe it will set the world on fire I think it's pretty good. So do the people who I was playing MGO with on the last day.

One thing I found funny about MGO was that it was the most number of MICs I've seen on PSN outside of CoD4, yet everyone typed every message :|
