"Assuming" what you say is true, except it's not...

That would also require at least 3 Blu-Ray worth of discs to hold as well. Try again.

TROPHIES: Sony copied trophies? how do you do that SECOND LIFE: Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents. Since opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively and today is inhabited by a total of 5,166,092 people from around the globe. * From the moment you enter the World you'll discover a vast digital continent, teeming with people, entertainment, experiences and opportunity. Once you've explored a bit, perhaps you'll find a perfect parcel of land to build your house or business. * You'll also be surrounded by the Creations of your fellow residents. Because residents retain the rights to their digital creations, they can buy, sell and trade with other residents. * The Marketplace currently supports millions of US dollars in monthly transactions. This commerce is handled with the in-world unit-of-trade, the Linden dollar, which can be converted to US dollars at several thriving online Linden Dollar exchanges. SWEET I DIDNT KNOW YOU COULD DO ALL OF THAT IN HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok then, a better way to put it is Sony took Second Life, stripped it down to a bare minimum, and just took that. Oh wait that sounds worse.

OK..... 1 dvd dual layer = 8.5 gb (which 360 uses) 1 blu-ray dual layer = 50gb (which ps3 uses) Kojima said he needs 50 gb 8.5/50 = 17 discs, enjoy swapping 17 dvd's hahahhha

That's right.

If he didn't have the 50gb, where would all the cut scenes go? :P

You could probably compress all of those CGI vieos, but it seems PS3 developers are too lazy to do that. Kojima does need 50gigs, 50 gigs of poorly compressed CGI and high def video. Besides, there are DVDs that hold about 19gigs of information. Double sided, double layer.

you have no idea what compression is do you?  trust me, if oblivion can fit on one......than there is no way MGS4 could take more than 1-2.

i wish i win the lottery so i can play games optimized for 360 and ps3. I dont like this "let's find the common denominator"

the different consoles excel at different things.  I want mass effect, but i want ff13 more, therefore i am buying a ps3

[QUOTE="reddemon502"][QUOTE="lespaul1919"]in all seriousness, it would be a bad business move on Konami's part not to go multiplat. there are alot of 360's out there.lespaul1919

OK..... 1 dvd dual layer = 8.5 gb (which 360 uses) 1 blu-ray dual layer = 50gb (which ps3 uses) Kojima said he needs 50 gb 8.5/50 = 17 discs, enjoy swapping 17 dvd's hahahhha

you have no idea what compression is do you? trust me, if oblivion can fit on one......than there is no way MGS4 could take more than 1-2.

Agreed.

Actually its 6 dvds. 50 divided by 8.5 is 5.9(rounded up) so it will be 6 dvds. wow where did u go to school

Kind of reminds me how Capcom said they needed Blu Ray for DMC4.

except capcom games have always sucked.....only games that ever were good were RE games...and RE remakes...and RE spinoffs....and RE trailers...or RE announcements...oh and DMC ONE..(one that didnt suck...)

yes because DMC 3 sucked(AA). because street fighter was such a bad fighter(known as one of the greatest fighters), because okami was so bad(AA and one of the most underrated games ever), lost planet and dead rising (AAs on 360) the onimusha series. seriousaly the respinoffs suck. the regular games are good. capcom is a great dev. ur just hating because they took a potentially good title, that was a sony exclusive and are now making it for 360.

[QUOTE="DaysAirlines"][QUOTE="reddemon502"]No[QUOTE="DaysAirlines"]I like your gamertag. Is that available at Sony.com?reddemon502
No silly, its not an official gamertag.... sony doesnt copy *cough* 360 elite and rosetta@home*cough* http://ps3gc.com

Of course not *cough*trophies*cough*second life

SWEET I DIDNT KNOW YOU COULD DO ALL OF THAT IN HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

second life has been around for how much time? Home has been developed since 2 years and some months ago. Well, if SL is more than 2 years old maybe sony could have copied it... but if not... congrats to Sony for creating an original online service!
