I'm NOT a Microsoft fanboy looking for MGS4 to go multiplat, but I'm wondering, considering MGS's Multiplat past and future (Rising) and the advances made in PC gamepads since the release of Snake Eater. Doesn't MGS4 on 360 or PC seem kind of plausible?

Didn't I just tell you this was speculation and has nothing to do with my disposition towards this or the next console. (To be honest I don't own a 360)

Hardly, all they did was talk about how it was going to flop. Once released thats when they started the MGS4 to 360 stuff.

They've been talking about it releasing on the 360 since it was first announced as PS3 exclusive.

If it was happening, they would have announced it. Their total attention is on Metal Gear: Peace Walker and MGS: Rising now.

Considering the approach that MGS4 has taken to the MGS franchise, I'd say it's even more a perfect suit for PC (KB/Mouse). I played the original MGS and MGS2 on PC and they felt great. I'm actually excited for MGS Rising as, IMO, Raiden was far more of a bad*ss in MGS4 than Snake was.

As for MGS4 going elsewhere...Doubt it. It's been out for long enough. Chances are their sales have been fairly maxed. Not completely obviously but they would have to justify the port with sales. Those sales are impossible to predict on any platform.

I think a few people are missing my point here. Remember how the MGS2 PC (and XBox?) ports were broken because they really needed analog buttons to work? And don't gamepads for the PC FINALLY support this functionality? And to add to this PC ports have been made of every major console series release since MGS2 except for 3 and 4...

What I'm saying is that while a port of 3 seemed completely inplausible a port of 4 is seeming more and more possible.

Proof? Kojima has been involved in every MGS title in some way, im sure he has a larger part in its development.

Im expecting a flashy action game which kinda annoys me, I would love a traditional Metal Gear game on the 360.

It's too old now. If they announced it tomorrow, by the time they finally got it finished MGS4 will be over two years old. If they were gonna do it, they'd have done it by now.

Except... Didn't MGS (and I think MGS2) have delays of over 2 years before going multi-plat?

He is certainly involved. Technically he's one of the producers. But I think you could call his role 'supervisor'.

'The series' creator, Hideo Kojima, has explained in a Famitsu interview that he's actually only fully involved with the PSP game, where he will be serving as director, producer and game designer. He describes Peace Walker as the "Metal Gear Solid 5 inside me."

As for Rising, Kojima-san will only be serving as producer along side Kenichiro Imaizumi, telling Famitsu magazine:

"I'm not the director. I'm not doing game design either. Although, I do issue complaints (laughs). But, not too much."'

Would love to see 360 gamers get a chance at it, but it doesn't sound like it's in the cards atm. Kojima seems to have a preference working on playstation consoles, which might be why he's staying away from rising and focusing on the PSP MGS. That's the one he's hyping as a "Proper" entry to the MGS series.

Ain't gonna happen. Every "perfect opportunity" too announce it has past by time and time again. It's now reached the point of wishful thinking.

How did you come to that conclusion? :S Microsoft has seen only one other MGS game on their Xbox console and that was MGS2 Substance and now Rising for the 360 - the only thing that they both have in common is Raiden, not to mention that MGS Rising is a spin-off. I think we have to wait until MGS5 (if there ever is one) comes to 360 or at least until the next MGS Spin-off comes to the 360. This might just be a one time thing.

i'll answer it since nobody else is. You can make an argument that it would be more plausable than the other versions, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter cause it's not happening. I was always 99% sure it wasn't coming, but after E3, where games are announced 1-2 years in advance, there was NO MENTION OF IT. Microsoft wouldn't have passed on the opportunity to rub it in sony's face if they even had a chance. With the arrival of a new MGS on xbox, and the fact that won't be out for prob at least another year, i am now 100% confidant MGSIV isn't going anywhere.
