"But Metal Gear Solid 4 takes me back to that stage where everything feels new. Hideo Kojima not only surpasses the ten-year old predecessor - he once again manages to conjure up emotional storms within me that I actually didn't know existed."
OMG... that line right there should tell you this review is garbage. Emotional storms? Are you kidding me? What a tool.

Why? What is MGS4 like in your opinion? Have you played it early too?
"Maybe I'll create a better view of this when I say that after 3 days of playing I looked behind and I saw grown-up men really crying during the credits. Normally I would call them crazy, but this time I respected it, cause even this machoman was sad after finishing the storyline that had me in it's power for so long."
Someone get the macaroni, because I've got the cheese.

Sounds to me like someone is jalous, cause he doesn't get to play one of the best games of the year.
Just out of curiosity, what would you consider a good quote though?

I think the reviewer lost his virginity while writing the review and was feeling quite vulnerable emotionally. :P

Well, considering I have a PS3 and have MGS4 pre-ordered, I guess I really can't be jealous, can I?None of them were good quotes! Are you kidding me? That had to be the worst review I have ever read in my life...

"It is, without a doubt, one of the greatest games of all time"
Is this not a good thing? How is praising the game a bad thing. I don't get it.

Again, see my original reply. Any reviewer who says a game tapped some "emotional storms" that he/she didn't know that he/she had, is a complete tool. That line, in and of itself, makes the whole review 100% trash.Come on, now... emotional storms?

My point was that it was such a sappy, cheesey quote that it's impossible to take seriously.[QUOTE="PBSnipes"]"Maybe I'll create a better view of this when I say that after 3 days of playing I looked behind and I saw grown-up men really crying during the credits. I cried when I first watched the ending to MGS1... and I also cried when I first watched the ending to MGS3. No other games have even come close to doing that, not even Ico or SotC.
"A lot of fantastic games have come out in the past years, but none that has seriously given me that feeling that I've discovered something completely new, the way Metal Gear Solid, Half-Life or Zelda: OoT did when I played them for the first time."
This is my favourite quote. Comparing a game to the likes of all-time classics like those listed above has me even more hyped for the game. Metal Gear is my favourite game series of all time, and its story looks set to go out with a bang. Just 2 weeks left... I can barely wait... :D

[QUOTE="AgentA-Mi6"]Mgs4 will overshadow even the great GTAIV itself 8) therealmcc0y
And how will it do that?
I still dont know exactly how But I do know that it will[QUOTE="mingo123"]"MGS4s story fails to be taken seriously because of gimmicks that ruin the whole experience" Luxen90
wow lol
What gimmicks anyway? I don't remember seeing any or reading about any.
That review sounds so...I don't even have words for it, it makes me laugh just reading it.
Don't get me wrong MGS4 will no doubt be amazing, but some of the quotes are hilarious.

Pardon me, I thought it was from a single review. Still, some of those quotes are hilarious. Don't take it the wrong way at all, MGS4 will be an amazing game (Best on PS3) but some of those quotes are laying it on thick.

Cool Thread TC althrough you missed my favorite quote so far-
"To play the core of the game you only need to use four main buttons: aim, shoot, crawl, and use. That the game squeezes so much functionality out of such a simple interface is one of it's crowning achievements."
