MGS4 to sell more PS3s than GTA IV, says analyst...

lol, why wouldn't it? Its an exclusive. That may just be the dumbest thing an "analyst" has said. Hell, I could be an analyst.

Obviously, people who own a 360 and not a PS3 would just buy GTA for the 360. And not go out and buy a PS3 to play it.

Its like making a big deal that Halo 3 (even though its a flop imo) would sell more 360's than Assassin's Creed.

lol, read the title wrong at first. yeah i guess it's possible, but GTA 4 just released so i think that got most people (along with the people who wanted both games) to get a ps3 when GTA 4 released. Unless they just felt like waiting a month...

But aside from exclusivity, i think GTA 4 was definately the bigger game.

It cant really push less consoles than a game that pushed next to none.

Yeah, I saw alot of people buy PS3 bundles and PS3s (I even bought a new PS3 becase mine died!).

I think this is how it goes. I may be wrong.

I think as in game only sales, without a console to buy with, GTA4 sold alot and will sell alot more.

But I think as in a system pushing game (game+console), I think it sold more in that way than GTA4, because everyone had a system already when they bought GTA4. I dont think most went out to buy a system for GTA4.

I doubt many will buy a PS3 just to play MGS4. I love Metal Gear and I don't have a PS3, and I could't care less. Most 360 owners will wait for it to become unexclusive... which it will.MedicMike66

If you play MGS4 you would know that it would be very difficult, time consuming and expensive to put this game on the 360 or any other platform. MGS4 was designed only for the PS3. To make the game avaliable to play on any other system, would be really dumb business wise.
