i'm surprised he was so open about it .. and it's interesting how he wants to leave it to the next generation of devs and sit back during development
you just know that if he's not liking the direction of the game he'll step right back in to the thick of things .. he's a nice backup to have if things are going wrong

Becouse as is MGS4 is an abomination, below average graphic,not so good sound effects and under average storyline. I am sure the HYPE wont save teh MGS5 as it has "saved" teh MGS4.

Providing they produce a game that continues the high quality of previous MGS games im happy, but let it be about a spin off, Snake has finished his fight. MGS in WW2 anyone? That might be a little weird...MGS in WW1, now that would just be criminally insane, but possibly intresting.

lol That kid hasnt touched MGS4. He's just anti-PS3. I suppose an "above average storyline" includes not know really why you're killing a horde of Locusts and keep running from point A to point B.
Dont get me wrong, I love Gears - but MGS4 walks all over it in all aspects to me.

if u looked in the cutscenes on MGS4 they basically confirmed two more MGS games. There was this one cutscene where they were scrolling from MGS1 talking about how everything was a game up until MGS4. Then there were 2 spots labeled unannounced titles. Altho this doesnt necessarily confirm 2 MGS games it does make you wonder.
Wow, this article is a month old. We already know that Kojima has said the series will never die, and this won't be the last one. Plus, Payton came out yesterday and said the next (whenever that is) will probably be more Big Boss. The future games will either be set in a new universe or prequels to fill in gaps in the saga.
