@Blabadon: cute. No matter how much you fight it.....it's 1080p on the ONE. :)
So the best news for Sony to come out of Gamescom (MG5 900p onXbox One) has just been crushed.
Cows should really look at how they just attack, attack attack on Xbox when Sony clearly has abandoned them.
Turn some of the hate back on Sony and you too can have a console as powerful as The One and a incredible library to go with it.
Still undecided between the PC or PS4 version... Probably go with the console version considering I got more friends who love MGS and will get it for PS4 !!
no doubt GZ is one of the best optimized PC games ever , upfront it was a PC game not a port
lol, looks like the OP jumped the gun there a little bit..
What's even funnier is watching this rapid crab walk down from "Figures" to "they must mean upscaled from 900p" to the eventual realization that "final output 1080p" obviously means that the game will be output to 1080p just like the PS4 version. They've been working on the game, bringing it up from 720p originally, it was probably sitting at 900p at the time of that posting, but they wanted to make sure it was known that the final output will be 1080p.
Stop grasping at straws gentlemen. If what you want to believe is true, the document would have simply said "1080p (scaling internally)". Not "900p (final output 1080p)..
Why would it say scalled on the last gen versions but say final version 1080p on the x1....?
Sounds like day one patch makes it native 1080p
Never seen a Website post graphic comparisons before....trying to get that free marketing I guess.
Yeah, they developed it along with the Console version separately. It's not hard to see that PC version wasn't running on Console code.
@Heil68: denial is strong with this one. Lol. The ONE is on fire! MS and the ONE....the comeback kid!

I guess we'll see if it can manage to be current gen 8 console leader like the PS4 is now. Seems a lofty stretch, especially when multi plats like this game are better on PS4.
@Heil68: get with the times, friend. It's 1080p and 60 fps on both consoles. Hell ya! XBOX ONE is back from the ashes baby! :)
I hope those xbox one owners have a small tv cause that 900p is ugly
no need because its 1080p, not that it matters. If you sit further than 7ft from a 40" TV or 9ft from 50" you won't notice a difference between 720 and 1080. 900p vs 1080p will be 7.5ft from 50" and 6.25ft from a 40" TV.
Most people will sit further back.
@Zero_epyon: why would they update the article based on upscaling? Every game on The One is upscaled. No article ever differentiated the two.
Wow you are desperate and reaching now. Accept it.
@Zero_epyon: lol!!!!!!!!!! You are too funny! Lol!!!!! The denial is strong with this one. The ONE is on fire!
You guys can troll all you want, but the language is there. 900P, final output 1080p. It's upscaled.
But like I said good for them since 900 is better than 720. You guys should be as happy.
You should change the title TC....or I may report you to the mods for misinformation :P
[UPDATE] The Phantom Pain's website has been updated with an English version of the resolution/frame rate chart, which confirms the "final" resolution for the Xbox One edition will be 1080p.
@chikenfriedrice: I think you need to. I would if I knew how. It is sickening that these guys would go as far out of their way to confuse people. It's pretty sad that they would care that much to do it.
@chikenfriedrice: they are desperate to make the PS4 look better when in reality both are th same. They are desperate to prevent people from buying the ONE. It's both funny and sad.
@Heil68: read the article again tough guy. 1080p on both consoles. Lol!!!!!!!!!
PS4 will be the best, like 99% of multi plats due to the PS4's 50% more power.
yeah the ps4 is better at last gen games, after all this game runs at 720p on the 360 lol, not even call of duty runs at 720p.
Posting this for the ignorant lems and fanboys in this thread.
The only thing that changed from GZ resolution wise it the Xbone version is now 900p. Last gen versions are still sub HD upscaled to 720p.
PS3/Xbox 360: sub-720p upscaled/30fps
PS4: 1080p/60fps
Xbox One: 900p/60fps
PC: up to 4K/60fps
@a-new-guardian: Nice try buddy.....read the article on the site. It is now 1080p and 60 fps on both consoles.....fact. Can I get a hell yea!!!? ;) The ONE is on fire! :)

@Antwan3K: Hell yea! Lol!! Cows are a desperate lot. Resolution is the only thing they left and now its gone..... Lol!!!!!!!

The Xbox One is still a pretty weak console. As for the library, personal preference, but it's pretty meek in my opinion.
Also, Max 60 fps on PC? @Desmonic am I missing something or are they actually capping the fps?
Figures.
Just what I expected, the jump from 720p to 900p on Xbone seemingly confirmed instead or the rumored 1080p. The freed up Kinect juice has helped in that regard. Better than the last version's 720p (GZ).
Collector's edition for me, getting the 1080p/60fps C.E. version.
Come again?
expected but the problem is that a couple months ago Konami (not Kojima) was saying that TPP would be 1080p on X1 in the final product. I guess they werent able to do it after all.

Well, here we go again with another asterisk for the Bone. This shit is nonsensical and people are celebrating?
Well Xbone is the factually weaker console.
One thing's for sure. For a bunch of people who insist on telling us resolution doesn't matter, they sure are smashing that fallacy today.

Yup....But PS4 just performs better
@ladyblue: Nice try. 1080p on the Xbox ONE. The ONE is on fire! :)
Let's use some common sense. :P If it were 1080P it wouldn't need to state "final output" like in the ps4 chart.
This could mean two things
A) There will be a patch to make it 1080P
B) The game's final output resolution will be 1080P after it's up-scaled from 900P
Either way it might be best for people emotionally invested(like you) to wait before throwing a parade. Otherwise risk another "you realize you see every xbox game in 1080P as your output" moment. :O
Best of luck! :3

Just a correction. "Final output", not final resolution. :)
I wonder if the assets are the same like the weather system. I remember GZ on the Ps4 was vastly superior to it's xbone counterpart in that regard.
It might not be upscaling, it might be doing something similar to what Killzone did to get 1080p. To me it sounds like the internal resolution is 900p with some method to output 1080p. Hell they might even be using variable resolution, we will have to wait and see what "final" actually means in this context.
