MGSIV impressions **spoilers**

So I went to my friends house and watched him play. He was playing that boss named Vamp, used CQC and injected him yay!!! Also watched him take out Liquid snake while playing as Liquid Rex.

But seriously, why did this game get a 10? I mean the game had good graphics and sound, but I just couldn't see it at all. Looked like a 9.0 game to me. Maybe I just didn't see enough of the game or don't understand the story enough.

Also, we tried to boot up MGS Online, but he had to create the ID for Konami. I had to go before he created it cuz it took so long. :evil:

Is this game worth getting a PS3 over?

Sorry I played a lot of it, still just couldn't see why it deserved a 10. Same as GTAIV, waste of $60 IMO.

Well the end of Act 3 will make you Well poop your pants on how immersive it is the motorcycle is just Jawdropping amazing and how smooth it plays while having so much around it

and the boss battles are pretty epic in their own way i recomend you play the Screaming mantis boss battle that made you scratch your head for a while then you figure it out and you slap yourself in the face because the answer is right infront of you

Lol, we took forever trying to kill vamp, then slapped ourselves in the face after finding out about the syringe. The cutscene with Raiden holding the entire ship thing with one arm was the only great cutscene I saw though.

About about you buy and play the WHOLE game... Or rent i should say. THen come back. GTA 4 was fantastic to me before I played the whole thing. Thats when i saw it wasn't that good.

For the last time, when a game scores a 10 it doesnt mean you will automatically like it if you had no interest in the series in the first place...

Example: Madden 09 scores a perfect 10, would you go out and buy it just because it scored a perfect 10 here even if you hate football games?!

My friend the motorcycle chase scene you controlled snake shooting off the motorcycle. and it looked like a cutscene

and if you want a great cutscene look right after you kill Raging raven

I personally think it's probably the best game that has come out so far this gen. Does it deserve a ten? I'm not sure. One game that did not was GTA4. I would have much rather spent that $60 on Condemned 2 TBH. Did I buy GTA4 just because it got a 10? Yes. The fact that game reviewers all over were giving it a ten and how very misleading their reviews were. IGN touted it as the best game since Ocarina of Time and that the Story takes you so in that it feels like your in a movie. No, just no. I like sandbox games, and this had Win written all over it with sandbox AND an amazing story. I was dissapointed in both aspects TBH. I do not go by reviewers anymore.

My point, go with what you saw and played.

The Shadow Moses level is a bit of a departure from the Middle East and South Amereican levels, which I feel were the levels that made the game.Not-A-Stalker

Well everything about MGS4 was clearly the best video game that has been made so far this gen... and I think that's why it got the 10. Everything from the gameplay, the graphics, the sound, the presentation, and the completion of the MGS story are just perfectly done. The game does have a few flaws... but they really don't take away from the game. And if you're the type of gamer that doesn't enjoy cutscenes, you probably still won't like MGS4. But the cutscenes in this game are the best that have EVER been done.

I think it received a 10 in a lot of places b/c it set a new standard in gaming on so many levels. I normally wouldn't have bought any of my console for any one game.... but for this one, I probably would have. MGO is a pain to get signed up for... but once you get your character created, it's fun as hell... and the single player has A LOT of replay value (more than any other game this gen). MGS4, Uncharted, & Warhawk alone are worth the purchase and will keep you busy for months... but there are plenty of games to keep you busy. You won't be dissapointed.

i agree. gta 4 was a disappointment. i was dumb and believed the reviews. gta 4 was not worth a 10. to me it was a downgrade. every gta has been a huge huge upgrade from the previous gta. gta 4 wasn't and i was quite mad i wasted money on it. mgs4 on the other hand was worth every penny.

i know the beginning of the act was slow then i was in the shock of my life when the motorcycle appeared that last have was the Epidimy of Gaming
