Pitting Nintendo against Sony does nothing for a debate being that Sony has crushed Nintendo 3 gens straight. Let's not forget that the Wii is a ghastly 6th gen console. (Doesn't matter if you'd like to see it otherwise, let's consider facts a moment, the Wii was not able to pull off multiplats because it was incapable of doing so with such weak hardware)

First you say Sony beat Nintendo for a 3rd time, which is not true and next you say Nintendo is not competition. So how can Sony beat it, if it's not competition? You can't quite seem to make your mind up here. Sure PS3 beats the Wii in multiplat games, the exclusives is debatable, some might say PS3 won that and some could say Wii won that, and no one would really be wrong and Wii beat Sony in sales.

But of course you will only read some of that, call me a sheep and say something like how you are a "real" gamer and only "real" gamers play on PS3 and that's how it beat the Wii, as it is only a babysitting machine.

LOL!!!!! Microsoft was a big winner this generation. The 360 sold more than twice as many units as the Xbox, they went from having the Playstation 2 trouncing the Xbox by 80 million units to the 360 outselling the PS3, and the Xnox brand has started to turn a profit.

The only *loser* this gen was Sony. They went from dominating with the PS2 to last place.

And I'm not a fanboy, I own all systems. I just prefer PS3.

1. there can be no system comparison discussion at all in the primary games discussion forum so that's not always a good option

2. owning all the systems doesn't automatically mean you aren't a fanboy

1. In SW you know what your going to get. Biased people. If he doesn't want to deal with that then there are other boards to go to where people are more level headed.

2. It means I have a real preference, I own them all and know what each one offers and I can make an accurate descison on what system is the better one. Most people only own one system, they do not have a preference, a preference implies you have a choice. They don't have one. They are stuck with what they got. A man who has only eaten McDonalds meat his whole life doesn't actually prefer it over a well done steak. I have eaten both, so I can say which one is better.
