Microsoft: 11.6 Million Xbox 360's Officially Sold (End of June)

Just finished listening to Microsoft's shareholder conference call about today's announcement of the 3-year extended warranty for all Xbox 360 consoles. Microsoft confirmed to it's shareholders that 11.6 million consoles were sold by the end of June, just shy of their 12 million prediction.

I think that's just Sony, and that Microsoft does in fact state the number sold. I could be wrong, although I'm not entirely sure Microsoft would "stretch" the truth of consoles sold while having a conference call specifically for their shareholders.

not bad, 360 is still a little higher than people would like to pay for. plus 360 still moves more software than the wii

microsoft would say anythin to please the shareholders you need to please the shareholders in order for business to coninue...if it doesnt seem profitable etc the shareholders will want topull out

They all used shipped figures. None of them have direct information from every retailer.

So about 3million of those Xbox are broken right? 30%? :lol:

I recall Microsoft using shipped.

There was that quote where they said something in the lines of "10 million sold, as in shipped to retailers."

GS news posted the following: "Luckily for the Redmond-based firm, it only barely missed its goal. According to Liddell, over 11.6 million 360s were shipped worldwide during the 12-month period, which ....."

Notice it says "Shipped"

This is 11.6 Million shipped as of June 30th 2007. Meaning they probably only sold about 10.5 Million give or take a few thousand.Uptown

at this rate the wii will over take it before december. well, unless they can't supply enough.

Sony already has 12 million shipped in my opinion.DaysAirlines

Wow thats a lot of broken 360 then. Hmm let me calculate how many for you. Lets get out the old calc. shall we. Ok .30 X 11,600,000 = 3,828,000. And mines one of them.
