[QUOTE="kingtito"][QUOTE="Nike_Air"]Some break out of warranty. Yours didn't , so good for you.
handssss
In the 3 years the issue was fixed. My launch model still works. Couldn't say the same for my PS3 that I had to fix at my own cost. So you going to count all the broken down PS3s that broke and had to be replaced? How about all the PS2s and PS1s that broke and WEREN'T covered under warranty?you're full of shit and think the problem wasn't that badjust because you had good luck. Let me tell you exactly how system replacing worked since I had to deal with RROD 3 times. Microsoft would take your system and give you another one they fixed. Not a newer model with the problem solved and not your own machine. If you turned in an original 360, they wouldn't give you one with the jasper or whatever chip set or one with HDMI on it. The problem that caused RROD wasn't fixed until the 360s model was released and for most of us who were tired of dealing with RROD and didn't want to pay after the extended warranty had expired went and bought ourselves that model. Now I'm not gonna lie and pretend YLOD didn't exist either. I also had that problem and had to ditch my launch day ps3. This didn't happen to me until after I bought a 360s (and my first 360 was bought like 9 months before the ps3 came out). Still, I won't say that problem wasn't widespread either. However, you are ridiculous if you think YLOD was even close to being as big or as widespread of a problem as RRODin the amount of systems that were failing. That serious number is what forced MS to extend free repair dates for their system.
Point out where I said it wasn't a big problem smart guy? I said mine got replaced 3 times and my launch model is STILL working. I also pointed out that Sony has had 3 consoles that had LOTS of problems that COST me money to repair or replace.
Again where did I say I got the same system back? Where did I say ANYTHING about the process for HOW they replace the units?
Good for you if that's what you did. I didn't because MINE still works. Doesn't really matter because almost everyone that owned a PS1, PS2 and to come extent the PS3 replaced their models at some point. It's the same with all companies, so your point is?
YOLD and bad lasers was a BIG problem. Did I say it was AS big as a problem as RROD? Difference being Sony DIDN'T pay for repairs while MS did. Sony didn't replace my PS3 for free and it broke in less than 3 years. Nike is trying to imply that the 360 total sales are inflated by the RROD issue and I'm saying it's not. In fact if MS numbers are inflated then so are Sony's, so it works both ways.
