The Microsoft Build was a 4 day tech conference. We have already seen the live demo of The Cloud power in action highlighting how The Xbox One will benefit from this.

I don't believe in any talk about the future power, etc. And I also don't believe in such a quantum leap coming only from DX12 alone. It means NOTHING to me, however what I do know about Microsoft is that they constantly try to improve their services and this is never a bad thing. Of course several features should have been included from the get-go, but then again PS4 had the same problem.

I am sure of something xbox one owners are really hurt by MS making a weak consoles,is like they can't stand been behind graphics wise..hahaha Even less by such a gap.

I'd be happy to own X1 as it is, I don't hope nor believe in any secret sauce. Things will get better eventually to the level of 95% of parity with PS4 (see - I openly admit hardware deficiencies) but I don't expect a quantum leap.

Somewhere between 80% and 95% I think. But in the real world multiplats will be close enough for it not to be a factor. They will both be competing on the same old stuff. Exclusives, Services and general fanboyness (people like what they like).

I like the fact Kinect is included, consoles cant compete with PC and need to stand out in other ways. If there was no Kinect PS4 and Xbox One would be the same and still weaker than PC.

Looks like MS is doing a good job at saving people's money lately. With all this talk about long away updates a future progression one might as well wait until the bone has finished beta testing with the early adopters and pick one up 2016+ when it's settled down and become competent.

Probably cause MS is finally talking about it in greater detail and showing off tech demos, meaning however they intend to implement it, its coming. Its a good read. Of course you gotta actually show it running in game in real-time. That's a the true test, but that conference was a shit-load of info that wasn't out there until now.

So then you don't know that. FYI seem you seem confused...review scores are also opinions. In fact.....score is only important if you are looking at a 3 vs 7 or some such. Anything that is at least 7.....possibly 6 for fans of a genre/series....is playable. So don't act like minor metacritic averages really matter to the enjoyment of a game.

It's silly to use scores as the games to play.....experiment with the games that aren't 9 or 10....you might have more fun.

These new DX12 code sets and instructions will make the Xbox quicker, no doubt about it, however certainly not double the speed or anything like it.

directx 12 is a direct counter to amd's mantle it will be good for pc but consoles already have to metal coding so it won't see much improvement. As for the "cloud" video was already proven fake, also not hard to make a demo like that if you have a server with 0 ping in the next room but in the real world most people have pings of around 100 that makes impossible any kind of 3d processing in real time between servers and consoles.

@FoxbatAlpha: I did read the article and I can say that MS is being completely wish-washy of DX12 on XB1 as well as the cloud, the article goes into no detail just about what MS PR is saying and how it will help and revolutionize gaming and other things, which I don't doubt the only issue is when it comes toXbox they completely dodge the question of what will Dx12 do for Xb1, and only answers that have come up are "XB1 will have some type of DX12 integration" but it's pretty much a just wait game to see what they're going to do, even with the cloud, it's great tech but to show off demo after demo and say a bunch of PR bs before it's actually ready helps nothing.

Like most things of this sort. I'll believe it when I see it in a game.

@Krelian-co I concur its a counter to AMD mantle, however much is gained from mantle or dx12 on any format remains to be seen. I don't think significant gains will be made until the game engines fully support all the dx12 features and of course until the developers get to grips with new coding methods for it. The way I read the official statements is that DX12 will allow the developers to use multiple cores and threads in tandem as opposes to one core doing all the heavy lifting.

actually no, it is a big deal, FOR PC, consoles do this already for the most part and the ps4 will get optimized in the same fashion too, the winrar of directx 12 and mantle is pc.

Microsoft are progressively working on hardware, constantly pouring out updates and even putting better people in charge. (COWS wanted to count on Elop lol I'll bet the asshurt is insane now) If anyone's dumb enough to think the X1's DX12/Cloud combination is not gonna work...then I'd say there's lint floating around that fishbowl.

Remember, Microsoft said the X1 is "future proof". It's not about outperforming the PS4; it's about remaining consistent with the times ahead.

This is a much better scenario than the PS3's 3-5 year stretch of weak hardware and Cellz tbh.
