MS has had one bad month. Losing the format war and all. Yes that is bad. So what do cows do? Post all over the forums saying that the 360 is dead. What on Gods green earth makes you think the 360 is dead? You cows seem to forget that the PS3 had one bad year. 2007. Lack of games and a high price. Did it die? NO! So what makes you think the 360 is dead now? One bad month and you cows jump all over the place crying "360 IS DEAD!!"

Well guess what? It isn't.

In the universe that is system wars, cows have had a fair amount of ammunition to fire at lemmings. In the grand scheme of things, the format war has more of a positive or negative effect for Sony than Microsoft.

But I agree, the 360 isnt going anywhere yet.

its the fact that Ps3 fans have something good happen, so what do they do, they piss all over 360 fans, what else would they do, they still have no good games to play, but at least they got a great movie player

This is System Wars.

At the first sign of any bad news (or even the possibility of bad news), the associated sytem is 'dead'.
If a rival company has good news, then the system is dead.
If a game flops, the system is dead.
If a rival game gets a good score, the system is dead.
If a system sells poorly, it's dead.

...and so on.

Basically, anything and everything dooms at least one system, in the minds of fanboys.

MS wants large scale digital distribution. IMO, MS only released the HD-DVD to stall the format war for awhile to get more rooted in DD.

Well Sony fans are tired of Xbox360 fans bashing them for a year over their PS3 so they are gonna dish it out if bad news comes for Microsoft.

So the few people who bought the HD-DVD add on will have to buy a blue ray add on?

Haha, so what...

Why I don't understand is why the format war really has anything to do with the console war?

PS3 has built in blu-ray. Great.

But the 360 didn't force HDDVD on us, and now blu-ray will be an option for the 360.

With that in mind if an individual didn't want a PS3 and the blu-ray 360 option was "cheap", then Sony lost another console sale.

So if the "cows" are concluding that the format war will determine everything.. I really can't agree.

Full Scale DD is a long ways off.... 1st people want to have their packaging, if only to be able to put it on the shelf and look at it..... but also without ur disc & packaging, there are no trade-ins, which alot of gamers do.

Also, the world just isn't ready for it....... not everyone has DSL/Cable available to them.... so IF Microsoft did go Full On DD.... then there goes a whole lot of potential customers....

MS backed HD-DVD for one reason and 1 reason only.... to hopefully win (hurt Sony's console) or at least slow it down. Time to stop living in denial.
