Yusuf Mehdi, senior vice president of Microsofts Interactive Entertainment Business, held a presentation at the D:Dive Into Media conference, where he boasted that the PlayStation 3 isnt as good of an entertainment console, something he thinks everybody knows. Lovely. As part of his talk on how the 360 has transitioned from a gaming console to an entertainment console (because thats what every gamer wants) he revealed that 18 billion hours of entertainment have been consumed on Xbox, much of which is from Netflix. Netflix, meanwhile, have said that the PS3 is their most used platform"

That's a rather ignorant statement. I'm pretty sure the PS3 is a greater entertainment console. I don't know why anyone would argue otherwise.

There is no defending Xbox anymore. Microsoft flat out admits it's not a gaming console anymore. Halo is not worth the price of admission anymore with 343i and Microsoft running it into the ground. Gears has gone kinect. Forza is easily swapped for Gran Turismo.

Time to accept defeat Xbox fans. Microsoft has.

I love how nervous Sony has had M$ lately.... As is evidenced by the epic amounts of damage controlling M$ has been doing lol You can also sense the desperation, jealousy, and anger coming from their xbots too. I just love it! Not only is there this blunder from M$, But M$ even came out yesterday and started spinning irrelavant stats like 55% "software market share" You want to know what my response to that was? No one cares lol! Microsoft focuses on everything else but games in fact! Irrelavant stats or anything else Microsoft says means nothing to me because im not a M$ tool bot or a M$ shill... Sony is the only one for the core gamer so therefore I support Sony! The fact is Sony is the only one who supports the core gamer so if you are a core gamer you should support Sony too. Regardless, who cares about what any coporate tool from M$ has to say or will say in the future. Lets take a look at what M$ has done this gen... M$ charging 60$ a year for basic online play is coporate greed at its most ugly. Its unacceptable. They are hiding free services and apps behind that 60$ a year pay wall fee too, and that is just as despicable Then there is the fact M$ continues to spam the same old boring Gears/Halo/Forza games year in and year out. Its like enough is enough. Those games are lackluster as it is! So why would we want more of them? So basically, M$ has the attitude that quality doesn't matter, exclusives dont matter; and that we are going to shove the games we want down your throats as much as possible. Then there is the way they also try to shove Kinect down our throats as legitimate Yeah, im not going to stand by, as a true gamer, while all this happens. M$ is only out to f@ck the consumer over as much possible! FU$k you M$! M$ is one of the worst things that happened to gaming! The Xbox as a brand has no originality and began as a knock off immatation of the playstation brand. By all accounts, the 720 is going to be a casual Kinect box too so.... Lol microsoft is done , forget it , even with wiiu struggling , nintendo still can get their selves out of the hole , they did so with 3ds

it needs games , those will come , but when 720 comes out , and has the same problems , ps4 will capitalize and nintendo will already be in shape no one needs to pull wii numbers, i dont think any one will pull ps2 numbers either

It has more bad games and motion control games. Also just about every major multiplat this year looks as good or better on PS3 and lets not forget the exclusives that still smoke anything on the kinectbox.

Its now 2013, and the PS3 has only increased its lead ten fold since then Its only further widened the margin since then And with 2013, that lead will be increased even more so! the only advantage the 360 ever had when using it for tv was that it didn't need the disc to run netflix.

once sony got rid of that nonsense and it could run netflix without the disc i never used my 360 for it again.

when the ps3 got the upgrade it shared the menu system with the one on pc which was way better than the weird layout the 360 version has..(had?) idk what the 360 version looks like now it's been so long since i fired it up on there.

Yeah , except we don't play spreadsheets , the only games lems atencipated in the past 4 years were either forza , halo or gears , sure the 1 year head start and kinect games help the spreadsheet , but again , we don't play spreadsheets.

^ yep:) LOL at the back catalog of the 360! That catalog consists mostly of the many boring iterations Gears,Halo, and Forza lol... A majority of the 360's early "exclusives," which make up a large part of the 360's library later apprared on the PS3 or PC too: Games like Bioshock,Dead Rising, Full Auto,Lost Planet, Gears 1, Alan Wake ect There is also the fact that the 360's "back catalog" is inflated by old PS2 ports from early this gen, old sports titles from early this gen, and a grip of xbl titles and kinect titles that not even the most delusional of lemmings would care about! LOL i mean what a great "back catalogue" in where-well over 80% of the games in the 360's library(multi plats)are ALSO available on the PS3 What a great "back catalogue" indeed eh! The PS3 has and has had so many more and better core games that matter to core gamers, then the 360, that its not even funny. The PS3's catalogue isn't about numbers, like the library of the 360 is, its about substance and quality. In 2011 the PS3 CRUSHED the 360 in quantity, in quality, and in diversity of exclusives, and its been that way since before and after; that especially will be the case for this year in 2013 (2013 will be an even bigger year for the PS3. Its going to be murder she wrote over the 360) I seriously feel sorry for the lembots, They should have went with a PS3 to catch up on its amazing and diverse catalogue, Not only that, but with a PS3 you would've gotten a capable blue ray player, and free online. Now theyre going to have to fork over 60$ of their mommys hard earned money yearly just in order to play bacic online play over XBL! That explains why the PS3 recently was named the most used Netflix streaming device. Seems a lot of folks realize that paying for Netflix, your Internet provider, and then still having to pay for XBLG is a scam.

and that is why Netflix is better on Xbox 360... OH WAIT... It isn't. The PS3 version is tons better. Adding that it isn't blocked by a paywall, just kills the Xbox version.

Well, if the PS3 had more apps maybe it would be about equal. Also... "Netflix, meanwhile, have said that the PS3 is their most used platform" ROFL!!!! Netflix is vastly superior on PS3 than 360.

Lastly, Like i said in another thread, Bottom line is who cares about apps etc I guess thats all lems care about when they have no 360 games to play The PS3 is a GAMING console, and Sony actually focuses on games . Thats what I care about as a true gamer! Microsoft focuses on every thing else but games..... Considering the direcrions both seem to be taking, (Microsoft focusing on kinect instead of core games) And especially considering how M$ nickle and dimes you to no end (charging for basic online play + hiding apps behind a paywall) Im supporting Sony always! As long as M$ continues to exist im cheering for Sony to knock M$ out of the console race

I remember when Phil Spencer (VP of M$ ) was trying to damage control for the fact that the 360 has no games. He was talking about, "instead we focus on quality blah blah blah, and some more corporate ramble," BUT then in the very same breath he mentions..... ........... ........................... "Oh yeah, we're coming out with Fable Journey" Just LOL He's a walking contradiction. I don't think he nor the rest of M$ realise how STUPID they truly sound....Just man oh man.........the corporate VP of M$ is as delusional as they come. What's sad is that there are many more corporate idiots at M$ just as bad as him and some even WORSE then him. This is what sickens me......I just don't get it, REAL 360 fans should be pissed off with the attitude of M$. They should say something ..make their voices heard...thankfully more of that is happening in todays times! BUT the fact that there are still some who can even defend this, and defend M$ over the internet, well ....I cant even describe how crazy it is. They have to be paid shills, and in that case their opinions will be discarded...But the ones who are for real, well maybe they deserve to get f'd over, and then lied to by M$ if they are willing to not only take it, BUT then ACTUALLY DEFEND them...Words cant describe how crazy this all is lol

Mind you apps which are hidden behind 60$ a year xbox live pay wall fees lol Its like how dumber can they be?
