The features they would remove renders the PS3 pretty much usless to anyone who actually wants one.Svarthek
nop , the BC may be a problem , but I think they can solve it with Software emulation .
Someone tell this Vrignaud guy that there was a thing called 20GB PS3 that was discontinued because it didn't sell...

K it didnt sell because of the price tag, not the hard drive size.
other guy: they can't solve it with software emulation because if this is true, there will be none at all.
other other guy: it would play PS3 games online in HD, that is what i look for in a PS3, so wtf are you speakin of?
http://www.gametrailers.com/viewnews.php?id= A single, $599 SKU [expected this fall when 60GB inventory depletes] would be untenable - if they don't move significant hardware this holiday they'll basically be dead for this generation," Vrignaud wrote in an email to Level Up. "My prediction is that you're going to see the creation of a new, low-end SKU this holiday. It'll likely remove integrated wi-fi, memory card reader, and most controversially, all backward compatibility," he added. "You'll see a new wi-fi dongle made available. And finally, this low-end SKU will likely come with a smaller 40 GB hard drive. The low-end price will be set at $399, with the higher-end 80 GB SKU dropping to $499." Granted, it is Sony, not Microsoft, dictating the PS3's future, but it's interesting to note what one Microsoft strategists anticipates from his rival. 4927blackhorsemen
I think MS needs to stop worrying about sony and fix there problems first with there faulty systems. Besides atleast sony aint ripping u off with the 60gb ps3 for $499. U get everything in there. A bluray Player + Wifi + Wireless Controller + A usb wire adaptor to recharge your controller when it needs to be charged and u can just buy a hdmi cord for under $10. So compared to the Elite which doesnt come with an HD Player or Wifi, u bought a 60gb ps3 and saved yourself $300 of extra cash, where if u bought the elite and wanted wifi and an hd-dvd player u would have to buy them seperately for another $300 which would mean u spent $479 on the elite alone and yes it may have 60 more gb of hard drive but u can upgrade your ps3 hard drive.

"if they don't move significant hardware this holiday they'll basically be dead for this generation" is what this person wanted to say and convey to the reader. That's it. The rest is just BS fillers.
