Microsoft: GTAV for Xbox 360 sold out on Amazon UK.

Amazon The Xbox 360 might have been around for a fair number of years already, but does this mean it has already run out of top tier games for the masses to enjoy? While many folks are looking forward to the new next generation consoles (Xbox One and Sony PS4), current generation consoles still pack quite a punch and the ability to draw top titles such as Grand Theft Auto 5, or GTA 5 for short. In fact, GTA 4 saw a resurgence in sales before GTA 5 rolls out officially, and here we are with word from Amazon UK that they have run out of GTA 5 for Xbox 360 stock. According to Amazon UK, due to high demand, orders placed for Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox 360) from September 13 will be shipped as soon as we receive inventory. Of course, those of you who are rocking to the Sony PS3 will still be able to place a pre-order for launch day delivers.

It's looks the same on both platforms.  Ps3 might have slightly better LOD on the drawdistance however.

It was the same with GTAIV because I never preordered and the 360 version was out of stock everywhere. Was almost tempted to just grab the PS3 version .... but I stood strong. Didn't want to be subjected to that sub-HD mess :cool:

How can a DVD game be SOLD OUT anywhere these days?

DVDs are cheap as hell to make.

Reading articles like this make me think once I walk to my local Walmart on Tuesday that GTA 5 will be all gone before I get there.

No it wasn't. PS3 had longer load times and lower fps. It was the weaker of the two versions overall. Go and research the comparisons for yourself.

Still selling less than PS4. And no need to damage control. I'm used to PS3 getting the short end on multiplats other than a few games this year and Sony first games like FF or Resident Evil. Lemmings will get to experience it on a regular basis very soon.

It probably sold out because there were less Xbox 360 copies allocated to Europe due to the PS3 generally dominating over there. Wouldn't be surprised if they allocated only 200k or so copies for the 360 and 500k for the PS3. While in NA where the Xbox 360 reigns supreme they probably did the exact opposite (on Amazon-US the PS3 GTA V Special Edition sold out like two weeks before the 360 version did). Probably some logistic errors on Rockstar's part.
