Let's be honest here, all 3 companies have made bad decisions, and despite these decisions, like Microsofts though to be for a group of people always online policy (and as proven by the near 2 million users and petitions people actually did want that.) were slightly ignored in the real world.
HOWEVER, for some very strange reason, the COD and BF resolutions, which even to the ignorant know that one number is bigger, and don't know what upscaling is (which is an additional problem) and this may be because COD is HIGHLY associated with Xbox Worldwideoutside Japan, has caused a reversal on consumer impact.
While the Polices hurt the gaming world and the rest of the casual community did not care, SOMEHOW, it's now the gaming community is mixed to not caring and the casuals are upset.
The whole COD being at a lower "P" than the PS4 to the average fool, is basically to them one number is bigger, and they don't know what Upscaled means. Including a lost of press reporters in community niches that have never played a VG in their lives.
When church magazines and school magazinesquestion whether that COD is being sold on a higher priced console that is weaker nationwide or worldwide that causes a problem
The original theory is that there is little to no difference or that it's the same. but the latest with this COD resolution combined with earlier bad dev tool limiting rumors is clearly causing a bigger stir in the public.
When I go to the office and looking through the investor reports and headline news for media that most of you people have to pay to view online, and see for myself in obscure papers the same opinion it's clear that Microsoft is in very bad trouble that is increasing very very fast.
Microsoft at the least needs to suppress this information. COD, which is often associated with Xbox, is most likely the primary issue to blame for the sudden belief that the Xbox One is "not ready" "Cost more and is weaker" and "other things" that is appearing in investor news, little people news, and random community news.
Microsoft's launch is way to close, and they need to work it out fast. They don't have the time they had with E3 to break out of it, they need to slow down the misinformation as fast as possible along with convincing people that the Xbox One has games that are this higher number "p" than its less expensive competition.
Basically MS has 7-9 days or they are screwed to pull a rabbit out their hat.
