No lol. Rare just can't think of a name ;)
The Rare that you once knew and maybe loved is dead. It's buried in the ground. It now regurgitates rubbish like Perfect Dark Zero and mediocre titles such as Kameo and Viva Pinata, which was seen as an accomplishment because everyone and their grandmother paid no attention to it until it was released and was seen as a mild surprise.
To the people who still think Rare will pull out a masterpiece and create the next greatest platform ever ever!!, forget it, you're deluding yourselves. All I'm gonna say is let it go, just let it go man, it's over.

all your opinion, and not fact...so how about we wait and see? Viva pinata is an awesome game its a niche title thats underated. and yes all the reviwers that gave pdz and kameo good scores paid no attention...or were they paid off? lol face it rare will release Banjo threeie and it will be good, and get good scores.

Perfect Dark Zero was one of those stupid moments in gaming history when a new platform was released and everyone jumped for joy at playing a next gen game. It has an undeserved 81% on GameRankings.
Secondly I also bought Viva Pinata and played it, and yes it was a mildly decent game, had some charm, but it was still nothing special, nothing to shout to the world about. Same goes with Kameo.
People thinking Banjo Threeie is going to be a master piece straight from mid-90's Rare are just deluding themselves. That Rare no longer exists, imortant employees have left and Rare doesn't make games of that standard anymore.

Banjo team is still intact except for 2 people.

What great games have they made over the past 8-9 years?

Kameo and Viva Pinata are great games. :| PDZ was god-awful, but it was also insanely rushed to make the 360's launch.

I disagree. Kameo and Viva Pinate were merley good games at best. But people thinking Banjo 3 will be some amazing game, hearking back to the good old days of Rare dominance is just silly. Those days have been over for a long time.
PDZ was actually in development for a very long time on the original Xbox, they merely ported it over to the 360 and added a gloss of wet paint. The gameplay was left intact and it was awful beyond words.
They did an interview with OXM about PDZ. :| It was so rushed the entire development team was still at work 4 hours before the game had to be submitted on digital tape as the final version. They said it was the worst crunch they've ever experienced.
And hey, i'm keeping the faith for Banjo. After all, they've had a good while to work on it, the original banjo team is in tact, they haven't tried to reinvent it or mix it up like with PDZ (it would seem), and the closest game they've made so far to one of this type (Kameo) was not only a launch game but damn-near AAA quality to boot.
If Banjo bombs; i'll be right there hating on Rare with you. I think this game is the ultimate test of their talent as developers however. Everything else up until this point seems to have been destined to fail; be it the rush-job of PDZ, or the "that's a bit different" nature of Viva Pinata.

lol i thought you had to leave...
I also disagree with your post, Banjo Three will be the best platformer to come for a long time(besides mario) and definately the best on the 360. But with that said it wont be as good as the first two games and it definately wont be one of the best platformers of all time, just one of the best this gen IMO.

So the entire Banjo development team isn't enough, yes the whole team that created it.You're basing this on two rushed launch games (That still average over an 8.0) and a game developed by Grabbed by the Ghoulies team (Viva Pinata, which was still a great game.)
You're missing, or just ignoring, the fact that RARE was allowed to take their time with the SNES & N64 titles, Microsoft have been rushing them to get out games on time. (Xbox 360 launch...)
Banjo-Tooie was made in the last 8 - 9 years, guess what team is working on Banjo-Kazooie 3.

I think Rare has finally gotten back on their feet. After being sold to Microsoft they just seemed to be all messed up and rushed. Now I think they are back to normal.
