That's what you meant I'm certain. :P
Expect a RROD 2.0 lemmingz :lol:Suppaman100
Dumbest comment of the day confirmed. None of the new XBox systems since the XBox 360 Slim can ever RROD. It doesn't even exist anymore.
Stop embarrassing yourself. You're starting to make the cows look bad.
I am concerned. Out of all of the big 3, MS is the worst with hardware.NEWMAHAY
I don't know about that. The original XBox didn't have any major issues. Every Playstation released have had at least one major issue.
PS1 - CD skip/read/play/freeze issues after 1-2yrs on every system.
PS2 - DRE error on many PS2's
PS3 - YLOD, DVD & BL-Ray games & movies not playing. PS2 games not playing. (This just happened on my sons PS3 last night. Will play DVD's, but won't play Blu-Ray movies. Mine PS3 won't play some DVD's.
I'd say Sony has the worse hardware. Even my HDTV started getting blue splotches on it after 2yrs of use. Complete crap.

Nothing is worse than the issues they had with xbox 360. The release should have been delayed. There is no way that design flaw should have made it to market. No console that generation or the previous one was nearly as bad as issue. It easily fixed. They knew about it too but shipped it out anyways. The ring problem wasn't even the only problem with the originial Xbox 360. The scratch disc issues too. It could have been avoided.

Only because they took out the red lights.  Your console can still fry. This. Lol at lemmingz thinking there won't be any hardware fauls with the Xbone.Of all the consoles I've owned, the 360 is the only one I can recall having issues with. Multiple times. Multiple issues.
No one can deny that the 360 was the worst piece of shit ever for the first couple of years.
Doesn't mean the Xbox One's gonna be shit. Seems they've thought more about heat precautions this time, what with it being huge and relatively quiet, and half the thing being vents.

Wrong. Here on SW I saw someone with a brand new X360 slim when they first released a while back with a Red Dot of Death.[QUOTE="NEWMAHAY"]I am concerned. Out of all of the big 3, MS is the worst with hardware.blackace

My PS1 and PS2 work fine and I've had them both since their launches. Also have thousands and thousands of hours into both systems. My PS3 fat on the other hand went YLOD last year but was replaced was a Slim.
[QUOTE="McStrongfast"]Remember how the Xbox power bricks were fire hazards and they had to recall them? Good times.Snugenz
No actually i don't and i've had one since launch.

Apparently it was the cord that was the problem.

Ah the original Xbox, yeah i remember that happening, MS sent everyone out a surge protector/power adapter.
Thought you meant the 360 :P
Sony is not the best company when it comes to hardware either, I remember back in the day when I bought a PS2 it would only play the blue coated dvd disc and stop playing the silver coated dvds, it was a major problem for alot of people, I still to this day think Sony purposely messed up PS2's just so people can go buy another one. ProjectPat187They should bring back the black discs.
[QUOTE="McStrongfast"]What's worse; exploding batteries or firebreathing cords?Snugenz
Both suck.
I think they both repel actually.Anectdotal evidence: I am on my 5th Xbox 360, after sending two of them back for repair/refurbishment for RROD, and buying two more because of DVD drive issues.
Â
Literally no one I know who bought an Xbox 360 in the first year still has the same unit, every single one got the RROD, eventually.
Â
My original launch PS3 60gb "fat" is still working just fine, thank you very much.
Â
The Xbox 360 has been, for me and my group of friends, the single least reliable piece of gaming hardware we have ever owned.

Slims break too they get red dot of death.

Oh man... that would be bad.
Isn't the extreme sized case largely due to MS being afraid of another RROD scenario. People won't tolerate it a 2nd time, I don't think.

For sure. M$ is all about rushing products without testing them.
What overclock? Is the GPU in the Xbox One being clocked higher than its initial default clock rate?
-Unreal-
Where you been? The CPU & GPU both got a bump... a small bump, but a bump none the less. MS says they're attempting to close the gap.
Which was refreshing to see them admit their machine isn't up to par with the PS4.

What the **** are you doing with them? Do you hit the console with a hammer every time you lose in a game?
If I had to worry about a console melting on me, I'd be more worried about the PS4 due to its small size, as well as internal PSU.
X1... just the size of that thing would prevent it from melting.
heh, that's funny.
seriously though the 360 was by far more reliable for me than my ps1 and ps2 was.
i went through 2 ps1s in 5 years, 3 ps2s in 6 years and 2 360s in 8 years and the 2nd is still going so i kinda laugh about the whole 360 being junk narrative.
maybe ms will do better than that on the third try like sony did.
my og 60 gig is still running like a champ so i'm pretty happy about how much the sony build quality has improved from the last 2 gens.
No, if anything I'd do that to my xbox honestly. :P YLOD sir. Sony put on a extremely cheap thermal solution. And a few things under the chips to help with heat were also cheap. But mine are all fat models and those are heat boxes. Which means you'll be doomed at some point. Your doomsday counter is shortened if you have one with b/c. I really hope the slim models are better with heat.2ndWonder
Yeah, i heard stories of those first PS3's using thermal solutions that melt away over time, which means it's just a matter of time until your console dies. If you still have an original PS3 up and running, that's some luck.
Slim is supposed to fix that problem, though.
