Kinect, although its not nearly as precise as move it opens the way for more creativity. Also in the future it would be cool to use it at the same time as a controller for voice commands, or leaning....just for a quick example.
I'm with Giancar for now, but I'm leaning towards getting the Socom bundle, comes with the move and the gun piece. maybe get kz3 with it sooner or later. nothing on kinect interests me yet, wanna see how forza kinect is like before jumping in
Kinect is more interesting creatively, but I like the Move's functionality better.
I think Kinect's all in one design is light years better than Move's idiotic patchwork setup though.
They both have their pros and cons. I don't think either is much better than the other.
[QUOTE="Giancar"]Standard controllerskelton-manya the xbox 360 conntroller is extremley nice try playing a standard xbox controller on fighting games it sucks
[QUOTE="skelton-man"][QUOTE="Giancar"]Standard controllerannoyingdevilya the xbox 360 conntroller is extremley nice try playing a standard xbox controller on fighting games it sucks It sucks on the PS3 and Wii too. lol!! Get a Madcatz or Hori stick or D-Pad controller for fighting games. If you are using a standard controller for fight games like Marvel -vs- Capcom, SSF IV, Mortal Kombat, Tekken 6, Virtual Fighter 5, BlazBlue or any other 3D - 2D fighting game, you are using the wrong controller.
Kinect is better for family games
Move is better for casual games (Dads. Golf simulators, etc)
Move is the best for accuracy in Hardcore games.
the move because imho its more hardcore with more core games and it already has move games like lbp2 socom4 killzone3, those are core move games

I don't understand. In what universe would yopu want to play a real game with a motion controller. Bowling and dancing is one thing but keep motion controls away from the normal games.
I would think Move compatability would be as big a negative as the Wii controller is with Zelda or the silly waggling needed in Lair.
Kinect. Not that I'm particularly fond of either, but the Kinect doesn't look like a lolipop and isn't the bad version of a Wii Remote.

Once you get used to it, Move and the Wiimote are far more precise for things like aiming and [especially] controlling an onscreen cursor when compared to any analog stick. While at the same time they are more practical in the typical living room setting than a mouse.I don't understand these console add-ons to the PS3 and Xbox 360. Its like the Sega Genesis all over again. And if anyone remembers, the Sega CD and Sega 32X were not successful for the genesis. I choose normal controller. Who likes to wave their arms around like a spaz to play a video game?
Kinnect, the EyeToy is so archaic, you have to change the angle of the lens manually just to play Move.

I like razer mice using a lachesis here myself and its awesome but why is there a 12 button numpad on the side
Yeah the design if funny but bad version of the wiimote? have you actually used move its way more precise then the wiimote is even with the motion plus attachment and move has the advantage of it coming built in with that level of precision.Kinect. Not that I'm particularly fond of either, but the Kinect doesn't look like a lolipop and isn't the bad version of a Wii Remote.

I like the DS more than motion controls, unless it's a game like Boom Blox, then you need motion controls for it to be the same game. In that case, the move would obviously be better, since the game was made for a Wiimote.
I just don't see Kinect allowing for fun gameplay. So far it's best game seems to be more of an excercise video that watches you mimic the video and then tells you how well you did.

For full on motion it is a bit better. Although the Move has some drawbacks compared to the Wiimote too. Like having to calibrate it before every game just to use a pointer (after which it's functionally identical). The design precludes its use as a "steering wheel" or hybrid control schemes (ala Super Paper Mario or Metroid other M). And the Nav controller doesn't have any motion sensing.
neither as they both are casual gimmick crap... but if i HAD to choose...move soley on the reason that it has buttons.campzorlol i love the xbox 360 controler soo much
Microsoft Kinect vs PlayStation Move............... v Asus Wavi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ubD4p3uboE My choice is the Asus Wavi :P.
What? I take it you haven't actually used Kinect. The whole menu navigateion (and voice recognition, for that matter) stuff people raved about before it came out actually full on sucks hard. Before it came out, I said "What's the point? You could just pick up a controller and use it to navigate the menu faster than you could with the kinect navigation." Now that I've used it, I'd like to amend that to "You could go get your dead 360 controller out of another room, then hunt for batteries, and still get back and navigate the menu faster and with less frustration than trying to use kinect for it."Also, what happened to Kinect automatically recognizing you and signing in your profile when you step in front of it? We had to manually sign out and switch profiles with a controller whenever we were taking turns...Controller
If I had to chose, Kinect hands down. Browsing and playing games with no hands is a HUGE deal with parties, lolz.
Squall18
Dance Central was fun, but that's really all Kinect has going for it. As for party games... I disagree. The masses understand a motion wand. If you're playing a golf game, or baseball, or tennis, or any of those casual sports games, you want to be holding something in your hand. It feels more natural. Really the ONLY sub-genre of casual party games that Kinect is better for is dance games--and even then, it's not a huge advantage. Move could do Dance Central (I'm pretty sure Harmonix have said that as well).
