Because most of them are older and more well known, while Microsoft's are all established recently and it makes sense to prove that they exist.

This is one of the many cases where: Quality > Quantity.

Heck, judging by future releases, I'd say Sony has both Quantity + Quality.

It's possible. I preferred Xbox over PS2 in every way possible, but that was a different bunch of folk running the xbox division back then. So I guess we'll see in a few months.

Lots of them seem to be working on the mobile market aswell as the PC market, really doubt Flight will make a console game really.

Sony's first party have a focus on 2 platforms and most of their B team are left to the handhelds and PSN, ND and the likes are all on the big projects, MS is in a similar pickle with Lionhead,T10 and 343 essentially being their A team.

A lot of the projects made within either of the 2's studios will either be lower budget,motion gaming peripheral based or Arcade titles.

There was once a post around SW displaying a complete list from all the 1st part devs from America, Europe and Japan. It was a gigantic list.

There are countless 1st party/2nd party exclussive develop for Sony exclussively in Japan. A lot of Japanse AE and AA games.
