Here's an idea guys, instead of claiming that extending the warranty makes you better than your competition why not make sure that the piece of crap doesnt break in the first place. Nintendo and Sony can make reliable consoles, why can't you?

the 360s need to be more reliable. but at the same time, if ur 360 breaks down a year from now, u simply send it in and get a working machine relatively quickly for free, but if ur ps3 breaks down a year from now, ur screwed.Big_T-Mac

giving that warranty pretty much means that MS admit they console is poorly constructed and was rushed. it also mean all those times they kept saying there failure rate is 3% and that everyone is exagerating means they liedRagashahs

I don't think it was rushed so much as poorly designed in the first place. the fact that 1.5 years later the issues haven't really been fully corrected suggests it was a deeper design issue that would have been present if the 360 had launched last year instead of in 2005.

I think you should wait for official numbers before trying to predict the future, miss cleo!
