with playstation 3 it can only get better selling 69.000 consoles less then xbox360 with a 600 pricetag with a possible pricedrop this year it can only get better not to mention a ps3 without a good game library, bashed to death and hardly any good AAA games...

really if there is one company that should worry its microsoft, its not doing well in japan i mean its dead really dead no matter what they try microsoft already released some good games in japan games they like RPG still it cant sell more then a ps3 without any RPG. In america the xbox360 is 200 cheaper has a good game library many triple AAA games the best version in most multiplats and still it cant manage to double ps3 sales... thats something i would worry about

wii on the other hand is stealing hype from both but thats a good thing for sony because of this xbox360 cant run away. it will give sony time to pump up the action, reduce ps3 costs sony is saving the action just when the wii hype fades away and why promote the ps3 when the cashcow ps2 is still doing well.. the majority of the people are not ready for next-gen this is why ps2 is still selling well in the meanwhile sony is gearing up for when they are by then xbox360 already released alot of their good exclusives and people wont care about these because the only thing you see is ps3 all over the place and ps3 exclusive games...

360 didnt get its first AAA title untill gears, and that is in fact when the console started to get super popular. PS3 is getting over 4 AAA titles in the same quarter, compared to 360 only getting one AAA title its entire year.

 Ummm the 360 got its first AAA game when it launched. It was called Perfect Dark Zero. Then it got Ghost Recon, Oblivion, Rainbow 6:Vegas and then it got Gears of War. Lying will get you nowhere young man!

umm let me do that math and prove you wrong...

wii current sales = 6.5 million

your projected wii sales = 13 million

therefore wii would sell 13 million - 6.5 million = 7.5million

360 current sales = 11 million (my gift to you in calculating)

your projected 360 sales = 19.5 million (again b/c you said approaching 20 million)

therefore 360 would sell 8.5million

Now can you please explain to me how this will happen and on a side note why do you think wii would not increase in sales like you project 360 to do. If you answer is Halo 3 I would to see it push a surplus of 4million consoles because every lemming or cow seems to think that once ANY killer app come outs it will sell an amazing amount of systems. But im sure you can EXPLAIN to me how one game will push systems like that....(note there are about 6-8 million halo 2 players and I would assume that more than 80% of them would have had a 360 by now)

WOW, one of the most uninformed threads I have read here lately.

First, Wii is selling great.  Has very good chance of 1st place, decent chance at 2nd, and poor chance at 3rd.

Second, the 360 is selling good.  Has decent/poor chance of 1st place, very good chance at 2nd, and decent/poor chance at 3rd,

Third, the PS3 is selling poorly.  Has very very slim chance of 1st place, decend chance at 2nd, and best chance of 3rd.

Wii is cheap priced wise, underpowered, but has a control scheme that appeals to simple gamers, thus casuals will like it.

360 is more expensive, will appeal to more of the hardcore gamers and has top notch online.

PS3 is very expensive, will appeal to die hard Sony fans (which aren't as big as people like to think), has an unproven online, but has BluRay which is also an unproven format as of yet.

No matter which way anyone cuts it, the Wii and 360 are here to stay.  Only the PS3 still has to prove something.  And with a riduculous expensive price of the PS3, there is very little doubt that the PS3 will most likely fail as an console.  As soon as the price of the PS3 was announced, it was bound to fail, as it's numbers have shown.  PS3's are sitting on store selves all across the globe, and with it's high price, will do nothing but gather dust.

wii proved us how important games are like mario, pokeymonm those are well established games with a fanbase no mather how many sequels you release

same goes for MGS4 , ratchet, socom final fantasys it cant go wrong fans care more about their established games more over new released games which has to prove themself and really there is only 1 company that lacks those established games it has some halo, and now gears...

No MS doesnt need to be worried. They are kicking the crap out of the company that beat them to the tune of 100 million consoles last generation. They are achieveing positive growth. They wont win but they will be second again with much greater market share. Sony killed their jugernaught brand they are the ones who should and are worried.

Now can you please explain to me how this will happen and on a side note why do you think wii would not increase in sales like you project 360 to do. If you answer is Halo 3 I would to see it push a surplus of 4million consoles because every lemming or cow seems to think that once ANY killer app come outs it will sell an amazing amount of systems. But im sure you can EXPLAIN to me how one game will push systems like that....(note there are about 6-8 million halo 2 players and I would assume that more than 80% of them would have had a 360 by now)

That is something I wish more people would touch on or at least acknowledge. There is a very good chance
that those really interested in Halo 3 or most likely to pick it up, already have a Xbox 360. There are several games they'd
most likely enjoy already released giving them a reason to already own one. Or do people think that those that passed on Halo 1 and 2 will all of a sudden run out and get Halo 3 and a Xbox 360 at the same time?

This type of rationalizing is always stupid and wrong. People buy consoles for many reasons. The fact is big games boost sales. In fact the Xbox beat the PS2 from november to december when Halo 2 came out. By your logic everyone who wanted to play Halo 2 would have already bought the console for Halo.

really if there is one company that should worry its microsoft, its not doing well in japan i mean its dead really dead no matter what they try microsoft already released some good games in japan games they like RPG still it cant sell more then a ps3 without any RPG. In america the xbox360 is 200 cheaper has a good game library many triple AAA games the best version in most multiplats and still it cant manage to double ps3 sales... thats something i would worry about

wii on the other hand is stealing hype from both but thats a good thing for sony because of this xbox360 cant run away. it will give sony time to pump up the action, reduce ps3 costs sony is saving the action just when the wii hype fades away and why promote the ps3 when the cashcow ps2 is still doing well.. the majority of the people are not ready for next-gen this is why ps2 is still selling well in the meanwhile sony is gearing up for when they are by then xbox360 already released alot of their good exclusives and people wont care about these because the only thing you see is ps3 all over the place and ps3 exclusive games...

wii proved us how important games are like mario, pokeymonm those are well established games with a fanbase no mather how many sequels you release

same goes for MGS4 , ratchet, socom final fantasys it cant go wrong fans care more about their established games more over new released games which has to prove themself and really there is only 1 company that lacks those established games it has some halo, and now gears...
