Hopefully everything will run smooth as this video.

Looks like they haven't implemented their ads yet. If its anything like the 360 dashboard (30 seconds to boot everything compared to almost instantaneous on the PS3), that will significantly slow down the experience. It's sad that M$ doesn't have their priorities straight when it comes to consumer experience over their advertising dollars. I'm surprised so many are willing to bend over and take it.
" gotta love that real-time demonstration of game switching....oh wait, that's the E3 Titanfall footage. Fail." lmao
If you think any part of any advertisement for literally anything is shot live in real time the only failure is whatever school system you went through.
@senses_fail_06: you mad bro
I'm not buying that abortion therefore there is no reason for me to be mad. Just letting others know what to expect.
I like it. lol'd at the comment on.

The 360 GUI was drastically better than the PS3 GUI. The adverts were relatively annoying, but the layout was far more intuitive.

Compelling argument, but no.
The PS3 was faster. Easier to navigate.

Agreed.
Couldn't stand the 360 dashboard.

The worst part was that it got progressively worse and slower with every update they rolled out.
@kenmid: click on the video to watch it on youtube and you'll see this - "Comments are disabled for this video" LOL! where have we seen that before??

Faster overall? Maybe. Difficult to ascertain without solid figures. Easier? No.
It also didn't help that things like the store were bootable, and had to load in. In that case, I found the 360 GUI to be faster. PS3 was simpler, to the point that it hurt itself. It was more complicated, due to that... Loading into multiple menus when things weren't always clearly labelled.

I had to post this link. This is most anticipated game for the XBO. I can't wait until the 22nd.

oo yes! give it to me baby he ad in the right corner in a small box... most of the time it has to deal with games, SO YAY!

Not really. When was the last time you used either? PS3 is much faster on boot-up. Not sure why you wouldn't want the store to be a separate entity from the dash. Do you find yourself buying something more than actually playing the game?
What other menus are you speaking of? Besides the store?
@DaHater7: Yes. It can work at times, but NOWHERE resembling what this video showcases. But w/e, less than a month away. Hang on to your receipts!
@lundy86_4: Yeah, having to go out of your way to get to the store was annoying. Loading screen and everything.

Xbox 360 today, for Batman: AO... Ps3 yesterday, for FFXIV.I like my dash to be integrated, rather than entirely seperate.
Menus in general... They each envelop sub-menus, that can be confusing, or just downright annoying. As a GUI, I feel the 360 nails it.

How the hell do you know that? You are simply a video game nerd living in mothers basement. How would you know hot the actual experience. Let me guess....you have a top secret source that told you. haha. Nerd.
Now you guys are doubting what the dashboard and voice commands can do? Seriously? This is the kind of stuff MS actually does very well. You can't expect this sort of media multi-tasking from Sony because they don't make OS'. You fanboys wanted just games and you'll get them...Bash X1 for the 900p games or whatever you want but this video you just saw is exactly what MS excels at...don't hate. Be real for once people *SMH*
@XBOunity: Nitpick? I know it doesn't run like that, none of that video is real to the actual experience. You do realize that the footage they cut to when they get 'in-game' is the Gamescom Demo of Titanfall? Not actual mid-match joining? That is just ONE of the many inaccuracies in this video.

Exactly
@lundy86_4: It's a fundamentally poor design because it uses resources that you probably aren't using 90% of the time on start-up. Again, do you find yourself booting the console up and going directly to the store? I never do. In fact, if I were to want something from the store (while the machine is off) I ignore all the BS and just download it from my PC.
Not sure how someone can get lost in the sub menus. I mean, initially sure. But that's with any system. It's not like the console is being changed every six months (like the xbox dash) so I'm not sure why you are getting continuously lost.
@k2theswiss: The **** did you just say?

I'm not sure how that effects the end user. My 360 is booted up, in around 15 seconds (including boot logo). If that saves me loading an individual store app, then great. So you use a seperate machine to avoid the PS Store? lol.
I never stated I got lost. Simply that they were confusing. The Xbox das was not changed every 6 months. Hyperbole away!
