Like I just mentioned in the stickied thread about the PS3 vs. 360 line-up comparison thread, im definitely going to rent this game to see how much I like it.
The game looks really good and I was already excited for it before this. The music for the ad is way off when it comes to content though. It doesn't fit the game in the least. Just because two things are cool doesn't mean they'll mesh. :?

What music would you have chosen. Not that I disagree. No idea really, though I feel the actual theme fits better. I'd have to think about it and even then my choice would probably be even worse.

I agree, it didn't fit well but towards the end of the commercial with the editing more fast paced and the song hitting it's climax it did work IMO

You can only rely on instore POP/word of mouth so long, and the hardcore crowd is only so big.
This is the time were MS needs to drop the price a little more, and start a mass marketing promotion to keep people interested and keep momentium going.
There is still many last gen gamers who haven't touched newer gen consoles. Sony may be 10 million back, but outside of the US, they had a very good year despite the problems and the wii isn't showing signs of slowing down.

That commercial was terrible if you're a casual gamer. It doesn't tell you anything about the game and tries to make it look like an action/adventue game when it's clearly not. Gears of War had a great commercial, this one sucks compared to GeOW.

Well Gears had to be one of the best IMO and the music with the add was absolutely awesome for the purpose.
This L.O. add is still very good and I think many will get interested in the game because of it.
M$ needs to step up marketing for the 360 itself. I can see it now, "Xbox 360, starting at $199"

Dude it's a casual model. When that casual model for casual fans reaches a very sexy casual price ofcourse it'll sell. With the 256MB added which is half that of the Wii's memory. Just add it like GRAW for free or something and it'll fly.

I do not no why people seem to think there is a world of dif. between the Arcade & the Premium ?
A 20 gig HDD is the only dif.- that is it no other dif. and turning a Arcade into a premium is cheap & easy with a 20 gig HDD purchase.

Whoa! The Arcade is a fine deal, and it's not on shelves in my area. How is that self-ownage to sell consoles?

I completely agree. I think that when ms did this same thing for gears they chose a much better song. This game looks awesome but when this song is played next to it I think that shows both the game and the song in a bad light, almost ugly. It's like the song is overly appropriate, subject matter wise.
eh, I have a feeling this game is going to be the Blue-Dragon of 08. MEaning its going to sell like crap everywhere except Japan and its being made by one of the best in the biz.

If you look in the thread from yesterday, or whenever, about Burnout Paradise needing memory, there sure were a ton of lems claiming that the arcade doesn't sell at all.
Eh that ad was okay. the music just didn't fit well with the game imo. i don't know what i'd pick, but it wouldn't be that song. and whats happened to the general 360 ads? i haven't seen one commercial for the 360 system since like december where they were playing a 360 outside or something. sony and nintendo have ben doing fantastic jobs with their 'Universe of Entertainment' and 'Wii would like to play' ads.
