I just love the positivity around here
^ I'm with this guy. Seeing as I only get to play the 360 for one month every 3 months, I have more than enough games to keep me happy :D Halo Reach is gonna be so intense :DDoesn't really matter to me as I am happy with the 360's current line up

I dont know I feel like MS has been the only one out of the three to have a good show every year this gen ( not saying the other companies have had no good shows but they have had some really poor E3s this gen), so they are pretty serious when it comes to the conference.

Once again everyone is crystal gazing, and everyone is correct. :roll
I'm very skeptical of Natal (and Arc for that matter), but I don't think anyone is capable of sinking to Nintendo '08 depths.
I'm apprehensive to call any winners before any show.
For instance, I didn't like last years Xbox E3 show (it was just a bunch of multiplats and Natal, it didn't do much for me). However, others came away fooled into thinking Metal Gear Rising was exclusive (it's not), Natal was amazing (kicking balls and painting, not impressive), RARE no show, and ODST was going to rule for $60 (lowest scoring Bungie Halo yet at 83/100).
Of course, TC, you must realize just showing a 10 second snippet video of HALO REACH at E3 will mean AUTO-WIN to many gamers, right?;)
In the end, people will just love whatever, I guess. The trick will be the wording, and realizing what is actually exclusive, coming soon, etc. If it's JUST a Natal show, that would be weak...but if they balance it with other goodies, I'm fine. That was the problem a few years back with Nintendo's show, but they fixed it in 2009. If Sony goes all ARC on us, but doesn't balance that, that suck too. It's a balancing act, for sure.
So, I will wait and see if it's an improvement or terrible. Sony had a bad show a few years back with crabs, and Nintendo's Casual show plus Wii Music show seemed awful. They all have bad and good shows, but we'll see how it goes.
This, but also I thought their last one with Natal and FF13 being the huge OMG MEGATONS that it was fairly weak. It was strong for fanboys, but a game becoming multiplat doesn't do much for me since I was getting the game already, and Natal... ugh. Let's just say I have "reservations" about Natal, and leave it at that.Doesn't really matter to me as I am happy with the 360's current line up

that same logic can be applied saying that sony will dedicate it completely to the arc, and nintendo completely too the wii motion +
Do casuals watch E3?G-O-M-JThis, Cows have NOTHING left lol Microsoft's E3 conference is likely to be the best one this year and the best one since...idk
well the only difference is nintendo still made awsome games in 08 lol , mariokart ssbb , animal crossing introduce the mic, so on ,
but i wasnt happy last yr with ms to begin with, all they touted is somthing that is a 60 expansion 2disk even , to a game we played 2 yrs prior, and a game promised for winter 09-perfect dark xbla , haha that never came,
i do expect a better showing then last year -but im in for any disappointment i may recieve,
i am happy with 07s games though lol nothing in 08 suprised me , nor 09-except forza3 ,
and tit resheild ,
and the 2 banjo ports,
so ya, its expected, halo reach talk and natal talk , -thats always microsoft' more talk then action , wonder when theyll put a system restore utility on 360 rotflol , cause honestly like their flawed operating system , thier 360s full of errors that shouldnt be ,

FF13 being announced multiplat was 2008. It was big news, but it was so big, it may as well been the same as FF13 being exclusive to the 360 with how that news was handled in SW and across the net. Same reaction it felt like. It was a shock, sure.:P
2009 was Natal's unveiling, and ODST's price raise from $40-$60 with Reach May Beta.
MS's 2009 E3 was pretty good up until the Natal segment then it went straight to hell
as long as they don't do it like that again they'll have a good E3

There's nothing positive about war! :PIt will probably be good. Since Natal is getting closer to release, i can almost garuntee you that they will show off some of the games coming for it. On top of that, I can almost garuntee they will have a few that people weren't aware of (with regards to natal games) that will probably draw some attention. On top of that, I'm not sure what else they have to show, seeing as we already know the killer lineup they have coming this year.
I'd love to see Starcraft debut on the 360 using natal, if implemented properly, it would work pretty well.
The way I see it, Microsoft could have a great E3 or a rather forgetable one. Let's hope it's the former.
I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Nintendo's conference is going to be 10 minutes of awesome (Zelda, Mario, Metroid) and 50 minutes of Vitality Sensor.
Microsoft has proved time and again that they understand how to make a E3 show work. While they haven't always knocked it out the park, especially since Peter Moore left, they usually put on a decent show it moves at a snappy pace and it seems like they understand who exactly is watching this stuff..
Sony has finally hit their stride with Jack Tretton doing his loveable uncle bit. They have great exclusives and probably more surprises up their sleeve. They just need to keep Kaz of the stage. That dude is a cure for insomnia.
Nintendo should just give it up. They haven't done a decent show since the Wii launched and they are only going to piss people off by confirming even more that the core means little to them. In other words: Internet get ready to get pissed at Nintendo AGAIN.
Doesn't really matter to me as I am happy with the 360's current line up

Definitely. E3 might not have a lot. (probably Gears 3). But just check the games from X10. Halo Reach, Fable III, Alan Wake. All looking interesting. (Even I thought Reach was just gonna be another ODST, but it actually looks like at least 9.5). So yeah if Micro doesn't have a good E3 its probably cause most of their games will be out by then. What's left to announce?
I'm just excited for E3... regardless of platform, there are bound to be some nice surprises. I can see MS focusing most of their energy on creating hype for Natal though... but I'm okay with that, so long as they have some decent stuff to show us for it. I'm very excited to see what Lionhead & Rare have up their sleeves for it.
Sony & Nintendo are a big mystery to me at this point. Which is fun... I don't like knowing everything they are going to show, b4 they show it... ie: PSPGo (i like to be surprised by stuff like that, it makes it funnier that way)
Please don't release Gears 3 this year MS/EPIC, Gears2 showed me that EPIC needs more time to let that series cook.... Gears 2 was fun, but ultimately disappointing... SP could have been way more "EPIC" (see what i did?) and the MP well, you know.
MS have a poorly designed console from the get go, with a near 100% failure rate. All 360's are created the same way, minus the motherboard revisions/heatsink revisions, they've still stuck with the overheating memory chips, passive heatsink coolers with a poor CFM fan at the back. Only ones that won't break are the ones rarely used. To be honest, the 360's passed its times, MS/Sony should bring up the new generation and allow the PC gamers to use DX11 as mainstream, since due to console ports, games are just DX9, with maybe some DX10/11 bolted on top, (Dirt 2, AvP, anyone who says it isn't, is lying to themselves)Sythedragon1985
I agree with this... I desperately wantnext gen to arrive ASAP... partly for the reason you mentioned, but also because I'm finding myself not being WoW'd by current gen visuals anymore.

The 360 has passed it's times? What? Mass Effect 2 is one of the best games this entire generation and it just came out 2 weeks ago. You WISH it was past it's prime.

Whomever in the general public watches E3 is irrelevant. This conference is first and foremost for people within the industry.

how could they? they have so many rumored games,a couple of themhave to be shown. infamous 2/twisted metal/demon's soul 2/killzone 3/resistance 3. plus more info on ff versus and LAST GUARDIAN!!

You WISH it was past it's prime. I'm saying, I'd rather they announce the new Xbox, same with Sony and the PS3. Gameplay wise, yes, Mass Effect 2's an amazing game, for a PC gamers, it's just a generic console port, as good as it is, is regardless. It is past its prime. AFAIK, the PS2 still gets some decent games released for it, but it's still past its prime.[QUOTE="Sythedragon1985"]MS have a poorly designed console from the get go, with a near 100% failure rate. Im actually eager to see it. Which is a change of my view on E3 overall. It could flow like water or be a total disaster for Ms. I await its time.

I'd like to challenge your comment with.... If us "general public" didn't exist then what would be the need of the show? No gamers.... no point in making games, not making games, no point in having E3.
