They pushed it all so far that the hype is, unfortunately, going to die an almost instant and horrible death. The Halo 2 launch was done right. This launch is going to be just another joke source for Letterman and Leno.

Hype plus great reviews are going to push this game to keep selling thru early Jan. 2008.

At the risk of getting suspended or whatever I'm gonna have to call you out on this one. First of all Halo 3 has somewhere in the ballpark of 2 million pre-orders. That's more than Halo 2 had. Second, the fact that Microsoft has spent so much money marketing Halo 3 will almost surley make it even more successful than Halo 2. And last, It's predicted that Halo 3 may push Microsofts gaming division into slight profitibility and after losing about a billion dollars in rapairing consoles is no small feat.Locke562

OK, however you want to spin it.

Here is CNBC's (a business/investing channel) Halo 3 launch center. Marketing a failure? these folks all disagree.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle! Finish the quote to redeem yourself.

I agree. Exploiting all those war veterans, making them relive their nightmares all over again for the sake of profit. :(

Not even a little bit.

Subjective comparison. Being used by Internet analysts of late due to the sales level in 24 hours.
