Minecraft Legends (April 18th) - 6/10 GS, 73 MC

Comes out April 18th. Will you be checking this out, SW? I thought this was a regular Minecraft game, but it’s a spinoff instead. Details below. Seems like decent GamePass material to check out.

Gameplay

Minecraft Legends is an action strategy video game that has strategic elements at its core, with mechanics inspired by action games. It is explored from a third-person perspective. The game features both cooperative and competitive multiplayer.^[4]

Plot

Minecraft Legends takes place in the Minecraft universe during an invasion by the piglins from the Nether. As the Nether spreads its corruption across the Overworld, a great hero (the player) brings their banner to save the Overworld and bring together its mobs to help defend their home. The events Legends take place in are neither fact nor fiction in the Minecraft universe, but rather take place in a tale that has been passed down through generations.

Didn't notice this was a thing until I enter this thread and glad to know it's just a spin-off. Used to enjoy the heck out of Minecraft back in the old days, just don't have that kind of time anymore to revisit Minecraft nor will I try out Minecraft Legends anytime soon as I'm gearing up for Dead Island 2 & Jedi Survivor I'm just few more days.

It is on Gamepass so checking it out is easy.😁

Never played the OG Minecraft, I did however play Dungeons and it was good, but have no interest in this game.

Never played Minecraft, and never will. Trash games just like Fartnite.

My 5 year old and I are excited for this one! We had fun with Dungeons, and this one looks like a good time too.

Dungeons was cool but I have no interest in playing this one.

Not a huge Minecraft player but I certainly will check it out via Game Pass.

I've messed around with Minecraft a bit but never really got into it..

Hopefully this game delivers for those interested..

Minecraft is an amazing game. I did play Dungeons too, but I don't think I'll be checking this one out.

It's interesting that MS is propping up the PS5 with one of its own first party games since Sony hasn't got a first party exclusive until the later part of the year lol.

In the best case, yeah.

Personally I'd love to play a RTS in the minecraft universe that's inspired by either Pikmin or Brutal Legend, But I just don't know, I'm not feeling the hype for this one.

So when Phil said, “Game Pass will increase game sales,“ was he talking about on other platforms?

I played a bit of it and I thought it was cool, fun in spurts.

I have always wanted to get into RTS games but found them to be overwhelming for the most part.

This is a good stepping stone for those kinds of games with its simplified RTS gameplay.

Reminds me of the Halo Wars games.

I can see the low scores if an RTS player reviewed it, it is a super simplistic take on RTS.......to the point where my almost 7yr old played it and really enjoyed it

I downloaded it on Gamepass and was extremely bored after only a few minutes. It was a quick uninstall. Haha

I've played a few hours. Its pretty basic, but can be fun in co-op, especially the village defence stuff once it starts getting harder.

My daughter loves OG minecraft, I may pick it up on sale for her switch
