Owners of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition can upgrade for just $4.99* USD, or new players can download the full game for $19.99 USD. All downloadable content players have purchased for the Xbox 360 Edition is available free for re-download on Xbox One.

With worlds up to 36 times larger than on Xbox 360, now there’s an even bigger canvas to create on. Transfer your favorite Xbox 360 worlds and content to the Xbox One Edition so you won’t lose your creations. Join a community of 13-million-plus Minecraft fans on Xbox Live that are continually laying down imaginative creations. I'm going to buy a game I've already bought....though I do have to admit, I have been looking forward to this game for a while.

I could upgrade from my 360 version, might keep me amused for a few days, although unfortunately I never really "got" minecraft. Faaaar to time consuming for the reward of stepping back and realising you still cant create anything anywhere near as cool as "those guys on youtube".

Didn't realise they were allowing an upgrade, I'll definitely pick it up for $5

My nieces and nephews every time they come to the house....can we play Minecraft?....I have to tell them no since the X1 or PS4 didn't have it yet. Now I have no excuse lol.

Pretty embarrassing how long this game took to port considering it was announced in June 2013. 4A Games ported Metro Redux in what, four months? In war-torn Ukraine?
