Just got SM64 on the Wii, never played it before, man it's awesome! It's a 10 year old game that's still fun to play today.ironwarrior2wow, lucky you! indeed, a masterpiece.
I definitely would not call him overrated but I do think Nintendo relies on him too much. One day he might decide to retire or even leave this world. Then what would Nintendo do? I personally would love to see him as a freelancer. Create his games for all systems not just one.gmastersexayActually they hardly rely on him for games much at all anymore. He does more as an executive at this point than a game developer, which of course isn't a bad thing at all since it brought us the DS and Wii.

Miyamoto makes some near-flawless games.16bitkevinCom'on dude. Stop swinging on it like a monkey with ADHD. He make great games, but near-flawless is not the case.

I wish he could spear head a new age of brand new IP's for Nintendo.Â

Hmm.....I'd disagree, I'd say John Carmack out of the ones I know, and probably Hideo Kojima.

Carmack always regarded game design as a pain in the ass, and I don't think he's a particularly good game designer. He's just interested in the technology, and he does contribute to some amazing game engines.Hmm.....I'd disagree, I'd say John Carmack out of the ones I know, and probably Hideo Kojima.

Lame, he is pretty overrated. I mean if you think about it, his version of DK wasn't original at all so then Rare makes him look more original and Miyamoto bashes them for doing that. Well he is the big fool since DK's image which it is known for now days was from Rare. MudigYeah, since he only ever made Donkey Kong, right? Geez, how blind we've all been, he really is so overrated, because Dk Counrty really was the high point of gameplay, and he didn't make it. /sarcasm.
