Onlive is best on small screens to make the 720p res less painful.

Can't even find it on the android market. Oh well.

Then you likely aren't able to run it. The market hides apps that your phone won't run.
Not all the time though, i looked for it too and it didn't show up on the app store. I had to go to onlive.com. btw i have a tegra 2 phoneIf that's the 'future of gaming' I'll quit. KC_HokieCloud computing? I'd reckon it is. Obviously OnLive is the first viable element, but with cloud technology taking over so many other media aspects (Spotify :D) it'd be naive to think stuff like this isn't accepted more and more as the accessibility increases.
Seems like a kind of bad idea to me. Don't most of these tablets have a bad battery life while watching videos and since it will be using wifi constantly that will drain the batter further.soulitaneAbout the same as other handheld gaming (DS, PSP etc.) devices when used online.
Looks like most of the supported Onlive titles are ones that would work most easily with touchscreen capabilities. Maybe if there was better game controller support for smartphone devices, then it would make gaming on an Android/iPhone much less irritating, especially for many of the games that are available through Onlive, which normally require either a gamepad or KB&M to play.
[QUOTE="starjet905"]Considering the ridiculous bandwidth caps mobile ISPs have introduced, I wonder how successful this would be...donalbaneIt doesn't support 3G, only 4G and wifi, so unless you are 4G it's wifi only.Ah, in that case, it pretty much limits options even more.
why would i like to play those games on a small screen if i have a pc, or a tv....
onlive so pointless.
When you're at work, on a trip etc. . The answer is so incredibly obvious.I played darksiders trial, looks and performs like garbage on 3g.KaszillaIt's because it doesn't support 3g. Try it on wifi. Jeez... read the OnLive site's info about using it why doncha'? Or maybe just peruse this thread.

Using over Wifi is kinda pointless though. :? Unless you find Wifi hotspoint at Mcdonalds or something.

Well if you have a 4g phone, or are in a trip away from home, it's pretty badass. And besides, my job has wifi. Works great here so far :D[QUOTE="Peredith"][QUOTE="donalbane"] It's because it doesn't support 3g. Try it on wifi. Jeez... read the OnLive site's info about using it why doncha'? I can watch HQ Youtube videos on my phone without buffering and they look crystal clear. :)

My office has 6mb and aside from a 1/2 second hiccup every minute or so, it runs and looks great on my Motorola Droid 2. However, the touch controls won't do at all for me. I have to wait for droid OS 4.0 so I can use controllers with my phone. But man, when I can, I'm sold on OnLive.RikusakiHDMI out turns your mobile device into a console. ^_^ Yeah, but connecting a controller to a phone is ridiculous. Just imagine how goofy you're going to look with a controller hooked to a phone on your lap.
