I'd take another look at the line-up for both if I were you. Gears of War is a great game but if you have a pc, problem solved. Also, dont rule out the PS3, the "shooter" exclusives are much better on the PS3 imo. And all your other shooters, like CoD series, are multi-plat anyways.

BTW, if it is an argument over shooters, everyone probably knows that there are more and better quality shooters on the 360. Halo, Mass Effect (brilliant new way to play a shooter, very innovative idea from KOTOR), The Orange Box, and GOW to begin. Besides all of the shooters that are on both platforms, we know that the 360 is AT THE MOMENT (I'm not talking about the future people, right now!) is pushing better graphics and we can enjoy all shooters that are on both systems, in better quality with he 360. Besides that, IMO and many others, including most of my PS3 owning friends, there is way better online play when it comes to shooters that you can play on both systems!!! Does volume even matter?

There is also Left For Dead, GOW 2, and Crackdown 2 coming soon!

its microsoft's friend.... its the apple/mac gaming console. it kicks so much ass. its so much bette then the MICROsoft xbox 360.
