also they will not allow pre-owned copies to play online, just like EA do, you will need to pay around $30 for a new key
you know im right, also $20 DLC has a good chance aswell

Being priced at $60 didn't hamper its pc sales much. I don't see why console gamers wouldn't pay $70. You have to consider that a TON of gamers only buy COD, Madden, and maybe one other game every year.Doubt too many people would buy it at $70.

It has been so long since I've bought a pre-owned copy of a game. EA really charges you to re-activate the game for online? Thats nuts but then again doesn't really suprise me either....yet again it does. lolI remember Kotick talking smack about EA requiring people to buy new copies of their games for the multiplayer so I doubt Activision will do it. And Call of Duty hasn't changed it's prices in the states at all all these years, what evidence do you have that it will change?vashkeyIt has increased by $10 on pc. A $70 price point would be suicide for most games, but I don't see sales of a COD game dropping by a large enough number to offset the extra $10 per copy of pure profit.

Yeah, but that was really just the PC matching up in price to it's console counter parts. I really don't see this being as legit evidence. You could say the same for many blockbuster games like Halo and Gears, but it hasn't happened yet. I really wouldn't make such a call unless Activision started dropping hints. I mean at this point what makes this year's game any more likely a canidate for a price bump than last year's?

MW2 sold poorly on PC compared to COD4 and BC2
Black ops sold okay on PC, still could have sold better if it wasnt $60 and unplayable... its still pretty bad on PC...
Originally I was going to call bull****, but after thinking about it plenty of people pay $70 for new releases here in Canada (due to the exchange rate and/or price gouging, depending on the time/publisher). I still don't think it'll happen, but I wouldn't be shocked, either.

Did COD4 sell 20% better? That $10 price increase represents more than 20% of the profit margin on each game sold.[QUOTE="HaloinventedFPS"][QUOTE="PurpleMan5000"] Being priced at $60 didn't hamper its pc sales much. Fable 3 is $69.99 right now. If those two games can sell at that price point, MW3 could easily do the same.CRUSHER88
Canada officially sucks. Furthermore, Amazon.ca never has as sales as good as .com and you can never get the same stock :( I'm stuck with FS/BestBuy and EBGames!
Make it $100 might as wellX360PS3AMD05Believe me, if Activision thought they could still get half the sales they are currently getting, they would not hesitate to price the game at $100.

"The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in it's [sic] first week. Making it the most successful PC version."
