Modnation vs Mario kart

I just recently heard about the new title for the upcoming modnation vita game and I just wanted to know which do you think is better? and why.

I played modnation on psp and it sucked to me but the ps3 version was awesome and thank goodness the vita game looks like the ps3 version. I think its great but I still think mario kart is better gameplay wise imo and that's what counts to me

Mario Kart is OK, but Modnation Racers is a little more fun to me. I was never the biggest of Mario Kart fans, although I'll ocassionally buy them. The announcer in Modnation Racer is very annoying though. The cut scenes are cute. I like the terrain and handling more in Modnation Racers. Mario Kart has a little more personality though. It's not really an either/or for me though. I only have the PSP Modnation Racer right now, and that's enough for me in that series for a while.

Modnation Racers is horrible.

I didn't play Modnation on PS3, but the Road Trip edition is what is pushing towards a Vita over 3DS. That just looks so fun and accessible.

Modnation has a fantastic track editor, character mods, but yeah the racing is crap. New Mario Kart blows at well... pretty much everything.

MK wins by default.

Mario Kart is unmatched. I wish MNR was up to par, but its not even close.

This is a true statement.

Mario Kart has it's ups and downs. MKW was ok IMO. Nothing as awesome as Double Dash .

The psp modnation is awful and if you have a ps3 you are doing yourself a disservice by owning it

I LOVE ModNation Racers, seriously may be tied with Infamous as my favorite PS3 game. The customization, tracks, difficulty, strategy, and excellent online community had me hooked for months :) Will definitely have to go back to it here soon.

It all comes down to control for me, so I choose MK over MNR by a large margin.

ModNation racers is like what Mario Kart would be if it evolved with the times. ModNation is great.

Sadly I was dissappointed by Modnation Racers. It's more fun to create the track than it is to actually race it.

Mod nation had the same problem that LBP had. Great editor, great idea, bad gameplay.

Mario art may have less content, but it's a much more focused and refined racing game.

mario kart feels more cheap then modnation. SO I enjoy modnation more for its more balanced racing since more balance equels more fun.

Modnation is definitely more ambitious and feature rich, but Mario Kart is...well....Mario Kart. They are both awesome.

I've been a Nintendo fan all my life, but this is the only copycat game that I can say I enjoy more. At first, the racing seemed really weird, but when I got used to it, it was really smooth and responsive. The thing that I like most is how much more strategical the items are. You always have a strategy or option available to you. In other words, the blue shell won't punish you for playing well.

Mod Nation has more skills into the driving of it believe it or not. It also has a character and track editor so you can have fun with those too. I like mario Kart but Mod Nation is deff a better game because it provides more than mario kart. Only horrible thing is that it has long loading times lol..

I think Mario Kart Wii is the best racing game on any platform to date.

I wish Mod Nation was the better game (custom tracks and custom player/kart skins are nice :) ), but loose controls, extremely long load times, and lack of any performance diversity between vehicles really killed any hope of that game being above marginal in the racing genre.

Modnation Racers is better than Mario Kart Wii but nothing has touched MKDS yet hopefully Mario Kart 7 surplants it but the underwater racing and hangliding has me skeptical

Modnation is a better game overall but lacks the charm of Mario Kart and that's what makes Mario Kart, Mario Kart. The same with Smash Bros, I don't think anybody else would be able to replicate the success and is not because the gameplay or whatever, it is because of the charm. People has knowm all those characters for years and years...

The only bit of Modnation Racers I've ever played is the demo so my opinion on that game is probably flawed but from what I played on the demo I didn't care for how the game control and since I already have Mario Kart Wii I don't see a reason to buy another kart racer especially since I'm not into custom levels all that much.

If you asked me before MK for Wii I would have said MK easily. But I hated MK Wii and Modnation was fun as hell.

I love Mario Kart, but Modnation wins IMO because of the creative aspects of it. You can create any kind of race track you want to, but I think the Mario Kart gameplay it'self is still better. It's a shame that the Mario Kart games arn't very good online though :(

The BEST Mario Kart game was Double Dash without a doubt. Bring that back Nintendo!
