I was just a board comparing a 360 and ps3 (yes i know, it will only end in name calling :P)

But, what annoyed me, was this

Now he/she shows maturity by respecting opinions but, why does he feel the need to call the thread pointless, it doesn't concern PCs in the slightest, why say that?

All i seem to see these days are just statements of "consoles are pointless PC is clearly better" This sort of thing really winds up, and i feel it comes across rather arrogant. Its true, they do look allot better graphics wise if you get a good one.But fact PCs just don't interest some people, and they are not the "owning" machine they make them selfs out to be. And its all starting to sound like a broken record,

This is really starting to hack me off, let the ps3 and xbox boys argue if they want, but don't just come in the forum claiming those consoles are pointless.

Dude, it's system wars. People are rude like that all the time. Just because the fanboy happens to be a PC gamer doesnt make it any worse than if a lemming or cow said, "The 360/PS3 pwns all!"

The only reason you lot complain about Hermits so much is because you lack the "ammo" to do anything back expect what? Price whining? and JRPG/Fighters.

So you keep saying we shouldnt be here, we shouldnt be included, we are arrogant ( Oh yea, the winning position is always arrogant :roll: ).

As little as it sounds, we try to go by facts here to "win this war"... consolites preference and game opinion doesnt win on paper sorry.

It is pointless though, to isolate only two consoles, and compare them as though they're the only options. Nintendo fans are sick of it, PC gamers are sick of it - this generation isn't PS3 vs 360, this isn't "PS3 vs 360 Wars", and seriously, yes, it is pointless.

It is pointless to have the "which has better graphics, 360 or PS3" debate every week - if you care that much about graphics that you'd spend hours debating *chip architecture* please, do yourself a favor, buy a PC GPU. If your definition of "best online" comes down to "most features" rather than "best integration" then, again, PC wins hands down, its list of features is *insane* and basically offers up *whatever you could possibly want* while playing games.

Does that mean PC is the best, or only answer? No. But I think it's safe to say System Wars on the whole is getting tired of 360 / PS3 showdowns. If the PC is the reality check that ends them more quickly, then by all means - it should be used, it should be dropped in, and faces should be rubbed on that 120mm glowing cooling fan mod.

Because really, the point of a console is integration - to make things as simple, seamless, and enjoyable as possible - to *avoid* the ala carte world of PC, where you have a huge number of possible features, but not every game uses them, and technical expertise is required. And as far as that debate is concerned, with regard to online, the 360 has the best integration, the PC has the "best" overall possible feature set - you're not having 128-player FPS battles or 40-man dungeon raids on a console, that's just a statement of fact.

I find it pointless when a thread is clearly stating XBOX Vs Ps3, if he was intrested in PC also he would have stated so,

There's a huge difference between people stating opinions and then them stating it's a fact and you must believe it. When you try to shove something down other peoples throats...well, that's when it becomes a problem. Whenever i see some idiot speculate that their beloved console is "Graphically superior" of course i shoot him down.

It's more than likely the way you, like most people, approach the situation. Wording is everything. You can say the same exact thing, but use different words to make them more friendlier and more personal.

Yea, i agree a topic like, "consoles are graphics kings" or some thing is clearly asking for some one to show a picture of cyrisis, but then you get a comparison between metal gear and what ever 360 game, then all of a sudden some one again, posts a picture of crysis claiming win. yes we know, crysis looks amazing, but please, this doesn't concern it.

Well it was definitely more personal to you. Honestly, i don't believe 99% of the people who use the counter-agrument "Ohh, i own a leet gaming machine....i just don't use it nor prefer it over consoles" You state the games on consoles appeal more to you, but the PC has the widest genre of games, which may i add, most shooter games are from the PC period. Everything started on the PC...except Mario...but hell, you can play that online too.

It's absolutely no different to have a MGS4 vs GeoW2 comparisson than it is for a PC gamer to drop a picture of Crysis into every thread about graphics. This is what you need to realize here: consoles aren't exempt from being compared to PC. Anytime, any place, any thread on System Wars. PC is a part of this board, the admins themselves have come in to state that PC cannot be exluded from any debate.

And it is a competitor to console gaming, especially in most of Asia and Europe, where it continues to grow. And you know what? You don't get to do that - you don't get to take two games in isolation, or two services in insolation, in System Wars. There are blogs and unions that do that - but here it's System Wars not "some of the systems wars".

The sole basis of claiming the PS3's online was "superior" to the 360's was based on a feature list - yet if you want to talk about pure features, without regard to their integration into games seamlessly, the PC has won, hands down. And yes, it's worth discussing, if integration and ease of use *aren't* issues then why on earth is there console gaming?

See why many PC gamer will praise LIVE (myself amongst them) is that it takes everything and puts it in every game - like combining STEAM with TeamSpeak. We fault PS3 for not making it so simple - because the cross media bar needs some work. I for one hope HOME will be the answer to that - but when the time comes for that, PC won't be left out of the discussion.

What do you expect? They took down the PC is best and wins in every applicalble case sticky like six months ago. As soon as that happened every thread now ends in "PC is Better" and/or "Crysis".

I don't blame them really since it's true.

Some may say that arguing PC superiority here is like arguing car superiority on a bicycle site but what are you going to do Pc is a console in the world of SW and if you don't follow the rules whats the point of showing up?
