CoD isn't exactly spilling with originality. Heh if you guys thought there was too many shooters before, you haven't seen anything yet. All the big name pubs are putting out their franchises out. 2K got their Spec ops, I'm sure Ubi is gonna revive their Ghost/Rainbow series next year.
Just like Dante Inferno is a copy of GOW
Forza a copy of Gran Turismo
Uncharted a copy of Tomb Raider
Splinter Cell a copy of MGS
and Call of duty MW and MW2 a copy of counter strike.
What's the point of this thread?
Only the WWII part, COD took war into modern times firstCOD is a copy of MOH. MOH came first.

Is this a joke? Night vision..really?
Also, plenty of games used set pieces way before COD.
I swear COD fanboys are the worst, and yet despite all the garbage they spout, people still target Halo and say "omg it's not as good as Halo fanboys make it out to be" even though Halo fanboys don't, and never did say as much BS as COD fanboys.
They're so bad Forza 3 probably copied them.

If we didnt copy each other or try to improve upon others ideas, wed still be riding around in these
How can either series be a copy if it was made by the same people? You can't plagarise your own work. biggest_loserehhh, not the same franchise and not all of the same people, moot point.

How? One requires no skill while the other the flagship title in numerous professional leagues.
One had to get a mod that was basically "Counter Strike for Scrubs" in order to be playable.
One is good and one is bad.
One is balanced, the other is not.
One has great, balanced maps and the other has horrible, unbalanced maps where your initial spawn dictates who is going to win.
Lastly, one requires you to play the game while the other requires you to just hold a controller.
I seriously doubt IW got any sort of inspiration from Counter Strike. If they did then wow, they screwed up really badly. The only thing they got right was the modern setting.

Oh man, I love the irony in this thread. This new generation of gamers sure amuse me. :)
MoH came way before CoD. When MoH was still the industry leader in WW2 games, CoD came in and pulled off a massive surprise on everyone. Battlefield 2 came out, which was the first gaming franchise to carry it's WW2 roots into a modern-themed war game. A few years later, IW released CoD4 and became the new industry leader in this category. So if anything, both MoH developers EA and DICE have things that IW took out of from their products to establish their current status.
That's history for you guys. ;)
Modern = Night vision, AC-130s, etc. That's not exclusive to COD you know ;)SwagSurf
If that was the case, then "Oh noes! real life is a copy of COD!"
they should of just called it Medal Of Honor: Modern Warfare. Theyr all the same game anyway regardless of who's game came out first

Yeah, but that was the first COD. looking at the credits for all of the COD games, I have noticed that some left and alot joined new...
