For the PS Vita...
And now I have to f*cking buy a Vita too. Great.

So 3DS gets 2 new Monster Hunter games and Vita gets a PSP port in the US ?
Oh how the mighty have fallen
And now I have to f*cking buy a Vita too. Great.

You're really trying to justify a PSV purchase aren't you?

Monster Hunter's like Pokemon. I follow it wherever it goes. Also, this game is only releasing on the Vita in the US (and maybe Europe). Not in Japan.[QUOTE="ChubbyGuy40"][QUOTE="charizard1605"]

nintendofreak_2
The PSP version is releasing in the US as a Vita game. Basically since we never got the PSP game, we're getting it on the Vita instead. The reason it's not releasing on the Vita in Japan is because it's already available to play on the Vita in Japan if you own a PSP copy of the game.I thought portable 3rd was for the psp

Totally different games...[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="ActicEdge"]
Just wait for 3G.
ActicEdge
They have most of the same monsters though. Not the same game but if you skip P3 for 3G you will experience a lot of the same content.
I'm getting 3G too, that's no issue. But I NEED Portable 3rd too, I was about to import a copy actually. Why buy the Vita version when you can buy the infinitely superior Wii version?meetroid8Different games...

It probably will come out in Japan as well. But if not MHP3 already sold multi millions, probably no reason to release it again since its redundant.

So this is just a straight up port? Yep, but since playing a PSP game on the Vita enhances the PSP game (with dual analog support and higher textures), you're getting an enhanced port basically. It's like playing SM64DS on the 3DS. Like you can use the analog stick to control Mario if you play that on a 3DS.[QUOTE="charizard1605"]The reason it's not releasing on the Vita in Japan is because it's already available to play on the Vita in Japan if you own a PSP copy of the game.nintendofreak_2

I've heard the quests are completely different.[QUOTE="charizard1605"]Different games... I know, my mistake. I got it mixed up with Tri G. Tri G is actually better than Tri.[QUOTE="meetroid8"]Why buy the Vita version when you can buy the infinitely superior Wii version?meetroid8

You are a disgrace to your crown, charizard! :xFor the PS Vita...

Nintendo and Capcom
Y U No set release dates for Monster Hunter 3G??
Also, cool one more game for Vita/PSP.
[QUOTE="turtlethetaffer"]
I need to get into the one on Wii... for some reason, I'm just nervous to. No idea why.
ActicEdge
Its an awesome game. Have 300 hours in it.
I'm not doubting that, for some reason I just feel uneasy doing it... Maybe because I know it will be a huge time sink :p
Also cool avy
But it's Monster Hunter ;__;You are a disgrace to your crown, charizard! :x

But hey, go for it if you think it'll be worth it.
It's already confirmed for Fall 2012...Nintendo and Capcom

LegatoSkyheart
I'll believe it when I see it.meetroid8It's the same exact game with much more content and better controls (even without the 2nd analogue stick).
Lol yeah... I just have to find a good deal on the Vita :PIts monster hunter, the quests won't be "that" different :P

I'll believe it when I see it.More content than the Wii game so in all likelihood it is. I wish they would bring it over to the Wii. I don't really want to play it on the 3DS without online.

Its basically impossible for 3G to have better controls than Tri. tri on a classic controller pro is the way MH was meant to be played :|

Online play is rumored for the western localization...It's the same exact game with much more content and better controls (even without the 2nd analogue stick). But there is a good possibility it won't have online functionality. After playing Monster Hunter online I can never go back. I've heard that it may include online, but as I said, I'll believe it when I see it.[QUOTE="meetroid8"]I'll believe it when I see it.nintendofreak_2
Nope. No online.I suppose there is always Ad hoc party.[QUOTE="spookykid143"]I see.Hopefully this will actually have online.

Online play is rumored for the western localization...It probably will have it but in its current state I would still rather it on the Wii. I could just import my vanilla Tri save and not start from scratch after all.
The Vita supports that, right?I suppose there is always Ad hoc party.
spookykid143
Heh, maybe. I wouldn't mind starting over. Hey, I've done it for all the Pokemon 'third' games :PIt probably will have it but in its current state I would still rather it on the Wii. I could just import my vanilla Tri save and not start from scratch after all.
ActicEdge
I played fine with the Wiimote and Nunchuk, but the 3DS by itself will be better than that. I wouldn't know how well the control set up with the CC Pro is.Its basically impossible for 3G to have better controls than Tri. tri on a classic controller pro is the way MH was meant to be played :|

Well, if nothing else this more or less confirms that Nintendo doesn't actually have exclusive rights to the MH series, if that was ever in question to begin with.
Not really. I explained this earlier in this thread. This is the PSP game that was never released in the US. Capcom did not want to release it in the US on the PSP, and Sony wouldn't let Capcom release the PS3 version in the west unless they also released the PSP game. So this appears to have been a nice compromise for the two. But this is just a straight up port of the PSP game. It's not a new game.Well, if nothing else this more or less confirms that Nintendo doesn't actually have exclusive rights to the MH series, if that was ever in question to begin with.
