Monster Hunter Wilds beta - post your impressions!

Will you be checking Monster Hunter Wilds out, SW? I have a hard time getting into this franchise, but I will try out the beta. Maybe one of these games will change my mind lol

Hell yeah I’ll be playing the beta. Absolutely loved Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise. Put hundreds of hours into each of those. Monster Hunter Wilds is a definite day one purchase for me. Will no doubt be putting hundreds of hours into it as well.

Trying to flog PS Plus subscriptions with early access to a beta 🤣🤣🤣

@last_lap: Monster Hunter franchise is a very big deal. I don't need to check out the beta myself as this is well...Monster Hunter after all.

Played some of the beta and yeah, it’s pretty awesome. Game looks great and the gameplay feels really fun. The focus mode mechanic is pretty neat. The environmental transitions are very cool.

Has desperately tried to like MH games for the last decade or so and never succeeded! So no at this point I have just realized they ain’t for me!

Also are we doing early access for beta now? That’s probably the cringiest shit I ever seen!

That's not the point, you have to ask why Crapcom is giving people early access to the beta only if they're paying for PS+. I mean how much is Sony paying Crapcom to do this, but this is a company that hides demos behind a paywall after all.

would you say its more similar to Worlds or Rise?

I found Rise felt a bit underwhelming after Worlds and didn't end up putting much time into it.

Played a bunch with great sword and charge blade. It's very similar to World. I like it, gameplay is awesome, monsters are very cool.

I'm getting bad fps and oatmeal textures here and there, but that seems to be a common problem for all kinds of rigs. I do have a pretty old CPU, but I hope performance gets better on release.

Beta is ass on PC. I might wait for the actual release instead of preordering. I would preorder cos Im a masive MH fan, but the performance just ain't it atm.

Yeah, I get like 40-60 fps. Which is better than consoles that are stuck on 30, but it's not PC good.
