I think a lot of people are looking at Monster Hunter World without really having much experience with it since it's heavily a nintendo franchise, however this is a rather big announcement if you are well informed about the series.
It's not a game that prides itself on visuals (though it's a healthy boost from what the series usually does on it's recent 3ds titles), it makes up for that with intense and rather lengthy fights which you can tackle with a group of friends. The gameplay showed 1 v 1 (player vs ai boss) but it's usually built around fighting bosses as a group with other human players and it's one of the the better games to play with friends if you personally ask me and that's based on the 3ds monster hunter. (not expecting anything too crazy except the grappling hook is clearly pretty cool and the maps are actually pretty elaborate)
How the hell did that dinosaur not see him and that giant ass sword though? He isn't THAT big where it'd seem reasonable, are dinosaurs like that (what it's based on) hard of seeing or something? I'm no dino expert.
Early 2018 is pretty stacked though and I'll be getting this alongside at least Yakuza 6 (cuz I have an unhealthy but well deserved obsession with the Yakuza series)
Praise this game, praise the series in general (ones on nintendo), and be happy that this series/genre is getting some new blood both in a new game and a new player base to keep the genre alive and thriving.
