Damn.. don’t know what’s going to happen with this studio. They do have Ninja Gaiden 4 later this year. You think PlatinumGames will be ok, SW? Those are some really good directors that just left.

It's very sad when anyone but Ubisoft lose jobs.

It's to protest pulling a Raiden for NG4

Maybe they will form a new studio together.

Nintendo should hire them and make Platinum titles 100% Nintendo, and they can keep making sequels for the IP's + Nintendo's marketing swagger Platinum never quite had.

I want Sega to make Bayonetta a multiplatform franchise again and have Clovers do it!

Would be sad to lose them.... Knowing how good metal gear rising revengence was, or Bayonetta... it would be unthinkable that they not make a killer game with every shot.

Well, aren't they jumping ship to go back to Capcom where they started? Or is the new Clover independent?

Either way, Platinum kept surrendering equity for short term funding, at a certain point it'd just be easier to jump ship and open a new studio.

Well, the departure of Takahisa Taura in particular seems to be a big blow for Platinum. He was not only the director of Astral Chain, but also the game designer of Nier: Automata, where he worked closely with Yoko Taro. I have long wanted Platinum to work with Square Enix again on a new Nier game, but if Taura has moved on to Kamiya's Clovers, maybe I should hope it will be developed there, haha.

Also, NG4 is going to be a really interesting game. It'll be a test for both Platinum and Team Ninja to see if they can still make a great action game without Kamiya and Itagaki, respectively. I hope the remaining staff at the studios live up to the expectations of the fans.

If they quit, hopefully it is for good reasons. Onward and upward!

Nah, my guess is most of them are probably going to join Kamiya's studio.

No thanks. Ninja Gaiden 4 will struggle to run on Switch 2.

I don't think they are losing their jobs. They are joining a new studio.

Ever since Platinum took money from Tencent it seems all the projects they were working on at the time were completed and the talent has left, maybe Tencent were overstepping at Platinum. What else could it be?

Just hold together for Ninja Gaiden 4, that's all I care about. You can dissolve after.

Hope they'll all work on better games then.
