More cows than lemmings?

I'm not trying to start a flame war here, so don't run in screaming ect.

I don;t usualy come in this forum, mostly because alot of people are incabable of listening to reason. But when I do, I see alot more threads from sony fanboys explaining how the PS3 hands the 360's ass to it on a plate. Yet alot less 360 topics. It might just be my luck when I view this forum, or is it just that PS3 people need to convince people their console is better?

I know there are lemmings in here, since you just have to read some of the replys to the topics. Most of the PS3 fanboy topics also seem to just be their opinions, but the few lemmings posts seem to be just copying articles, links ect from outside gaming sources.

SO I put the question to you, are there more Cows or Lemmings around?

I know, upon reasoning if there were more cows, they'd all say more lemmings and are about to bombard me with flame. THis question is mostly aimed at the people who don't side, or own both consoles. Or can speak reasonably :P.

Yeah, I used to love my PS2 and PS3, but all the cows/bad press have given sony a bad name. And since the big man at the top retired I've pretty much gone off the company. Make good laptops and tvs though. THey should just stick to that now I think. Unless they go back to the tried and tested way of just making a gaming machine, not an "Entertainment system".

BTW, I'm not voting in the poll to keep it fair, and if you do vote please post. I hate invisible voters :P.

There aren't a lot of hardcore lemmings, but there are a lot of manti-xbox owners/supporters. If you want Cows, head on over to Gametrailers.com.

Lemming were letting the lead they had get to their heads, they thought they would be on top forever. Now that the Wii has taken MS top spot and sales for the 360 are slower than ever there is a window of opportunity for Sony to step up to the plate with a combination of Games, A better online service and a Price drop. If Sony plays its cards right it could take 2nd or 1st spot as early as 2008.MGS9150

That's what I mean by a fanboy, MGS I mean, not you clock. THey just post here saying how good sony is/Msoft is. Rather than report news. I know, alot of news reporters are fanboys looking for anouther reason to add to their hate, but i'd prefer to read an article on something that some guys rambling on why their consoles wipes the floor with the other only to go to a games website and finding they just talked out their ass.

I don't know what you mean, I was asking a question. Not trying to prove there are more of either fanboy :S. I don't class myself as a fanboy since I play my PS2 all the time aswell as my PSP, but I also play my 360 and pc. I sorta play my ds, but the games don't suit what i like to play so mostly my little brother plays it

do you mean in gamespot or in the world?

because for gamespot, there are way more lemmings

So you are saying that, despite what they say, people that bash PS3 are always going with facts?

Ok then, lets look at this stupid flawed line of logic that many, many people implement: If any video game is on the PS3, it is a terrible game, because Lair scored a 4.5.

Both sides have mindless fanboys. They aren't "barraging it with facts" when they say something like "If you buy a PS3 then you should be tortured" (yes, somebody actually said this on gamespot). You will never see that in the press, will you? Or accurate, unbiased press.

Just take a look at some of the topics. It's not what platform the person prefers to play games on that makes them argue intellectually, its their integrity, and their choice. Like I said, both sides have mindless, dumb fanboys, and they have people who know what they are talking about.

I'm only taking it from a few pages deep, I've said I very rarely visit this forum. When I mean facts, I mean just taking a link from an article, and say something like (I'll take the lair example) "Looks like lair was over hyped, woops..." then a link to the review.

I know both sides have fanboys, but that was the type of topic I was talking about.

And ROFL at whoever said that PS3 comment, I should come in here more often to laugh at comments. Usualy I just laugh at quotes in sigs.

okay so lemmings are busy playing there xboxs and are on here when it breaks or they need a break. Cows on the other hand are always here cause they have nothing to play, but now that warhawk is out some actually left but still those who can't play shooters and have no reflexs are here...

So since everyone cow is saying there is way to many lemmings and voting for them it looks like for every lemming voted for its a cow behind it so atm there is 33 cows and 9 lemmings actually, who knows mabe the rest are misc...but from everyones post looks like thats how it is..

There are more "cows" than lemmings simply because there are way more PS2 fans than Xbox fans. HOwever, this gen, there are way more 360 fans AND owners than PS3 fans and owners.

You base your claims on the notion that there are more PS3 posts. However, it seems to me that on any given day, the 360 fans spend more time talking about the PS3 (here on SW) than any other console group. There are countless threads bashing the PS3, PS3 games, Sony, anyone who like SOny, etc. There are way more SOny bashing threads and posts on this forum than from cows bashing the 360. Way more.

I would also point out that lemmings like to talk about how many more threads are made in Xbox dedicated forums than other console dedicated forums. They believe this is a sign there are more fans and they enjoy their console more.

Finally, I would also point out that, in the short term, there is always an imbalance as SW relies heavily on immediate happenings. If the 360 has another hardware issue, the forum will be flooded with 360 bashing threads. Or if Sony makes another stupid comment, the same will happen against Sony. However, over the long term, the PS3 is easily bashed the most as it has the fewest sales and arguably the weakest game library right now.

Seems to me you have made up your mind first, then filter all incoming information through your preconceived view.

Actually, sheep would have voted as well. Who would they have voted for do you think...considering all the flack they take from lemmings on sales vs true next gen vs FPS controls, etc.

i think u think there is more bashing sony and ps3 threads cause those are the ones you view, from my reading for what the last say month i have seen so many pro soy and ps3 and 360/MS bashing thread, yeah there are hype threads but....and i haven't posted really much till now so that says something...

Even if the sheep voted lemming there are a small amount voting for cows. Either the lemmings are playing their xbox's or there aren't as many as everyone likes to think.

I really love this comment, I have posted many times in this thread, but I'll post it again. I very rarely enter this forum, and when I do it's only a few pages deep. The point about how lemmings say about more posts in 360 forums has absolutly no relvence to this thread. At all. YOu brought that up for, well... IDK why you brought it up actualy.

I didn't think of the final comment though, it may just be I enter the forum at a time when something has happened, and this reflects threads. I made this thread mostly because although there is PS3 bashing, most of the bashing is basicaly taking a link or a quote from an article, and then adding a line or two of their oppinion. However, most PS3 threads I see bashing the 360, are simply based all opinions without a link in site.

this comment actualy confused me, you understand I'm talking about now right? Not 2 years ago? Fanboys follow companies, so sure the first comment about sony having a bigger following the PS2 thing, but then WTF at quoting sales?

All of these comments lead me to beleive your a PS3 fanboy.

Man i didnt know there were so many cows on gamespot look at the voting. The cows are voting lemmings 4 to 1 . None of the lemmings are here to vote cow because they actually have games to play while the cows are trolling the forums.Rainbow6Vet

Yeah, I'm glad somebody picked up on that, I think I mentioned it in my first post though, if numbers were around the same I don't think it would have made much difference, but since lemmings arn't going to be saying there are more of them, and I don't even think there are 50 unbiased people on this forum it makes me sceptical.

First off, polls like this are worthless. In fact, most are. Its really hard to guage whther or not people are being honest. Second, its hard to know the real answer. I'm absolutely positive cows think there's more lems and lems think there's more cows. Third, it really depends on when you come into SW on what type of threads you see. It also depnds on the latest news. So, gauging it off of threads isn't good either.

Its a question impossible to answer. Mostly because its everchanging. People swap sides all of the time. And that will never stop.
