That's not good. That game must have pretty low sales.
I have a feeling people are going to call for a Vita port.
Well, early estimates put it at out selling Resident Evil: Mercs 3D within one month so I wouldn't say that's bad. Worldwide numbers are pegging it near half a million already. Could be better of course, to be fair it could be 99k or 40k for all we know. Also, it looks amazing in 3D. I wouldn't want it any other wayThat's not good. That game must have pretty low sales.

Beating Mercs 3D isn't saying much lol. Below 100k is still not good especially when it was release early last month.

Ok, cool. None of us know the budget, and considering both were developed at the same time intentionally (which probably reduced costs) I wouldn't call it bad yet. If estimates are true and it's sitting at 500k worldwide that would be $20 million earned at retail from the game. I know that's not net profit or whatever, I know a whole mess of stuff goes into the sales so I know Capcom isn't actually seeing 500k times $40 but by all means since most 3DS games cost $1-$2 million I'm sure it's more than made up its costs. Once again, I'm not claiming it be a success yet but the bar is much lower to have a sales success on the 3DS than most people think. Super Street Fighter IV 3D shipped over 1 million and sold like 700k I think and Capcom said it was very successful for them. I'd imagine RE: R will get to near SSFIV numbers in no time. But again, no expert and simply wild guesses. You were turned off by $5 price hike over DS software/GBA prices? I felt it more than earned my $40. Great story mode with about 12 hours on first playthrough and I've gotten nearly the same amount of time out of Raid Mode.It was a huge turn-off for me even buying a 3DS to see $40 games lining the shelves (which this was one of)
Even my friends, who are much bigger fans of RE than me, were turned off by the price.
I was assuming it wouldn't sell all too well over here.

Obviously.
There was a time when I accepted that price, and it was around 3-5+ years ago
The market today is different, and I've been introduced to a ton of different methods of paying for games that have kept my wallet pretty darn full.
I'm not just going to spend $40 on every new game that comes out. That's an archaic system of game pricing.
