More exclusives= end of the console wars? Next gen= End of the wars?

Think about it.

What is the main reason for the system wars.

Ps3 has uncharted 2

Xbox's mass effect 2 can be played on the pc.

Face it. Features aside the main reason for console wars is the GAMES and GAMES alone.

So it would make sense that more exclusives for all consoles.

Now this gen has evolved consoles so much to the point where it is entirely possible for either side to develop an equal amount of good exclusives or multiplats equal to either side. Thus equal amount of quality exclusives= end of console wars.

Thus next gen has the highest probability of the console wars ending because of current gen developments.

Nintendo has already shown they could own with the 3DS and new titles for the wii

The ps3 is set.

The xbox just needs more games like alan wake (which is highly probably since next gen the xbox 360 2 hopefully will have learned from the ps3.) More first party, Better tech ( blu ray drive... seriously... mgs4 on 7 discs....).

So if not next gen then more than most likely the gen after we will probably see the end of system wars.

You probably missed the news about Mass Effect coming to PS3 too so PC and PS3 :D.Just did a small fix in there :oops:..:P anwyays i doubt if SW will ever end

Because if all consoles would have about the same amount of exclusives then it would just be personal preference of which is best.

And since opinions don't count on SW then it's all fixed.

System Wars has always been filled with threads about exclusives.

Like the other guy said fanboys will always find something to have a war over. Even if it contradicts other conventions. Just look at the cows:360 lost ME as an exclusive. Lemmings: Does that mean the GeoW and L4D are now 360 exclusives? cows: Hell no! Lemmings and everyone else: :|

It's not just about exclusives but if there is an acceptible substitute

IE infamous, is similar to assasin's creed, grand theft auto, spiderman

Heavy rain has no counterpart to provide a similar experience

I guess what I'm saying is unique games make a console

That said I have a 360 and do not care about halo nor gears at all

Like it or not next gen is going to be about gimmicks

It's alreay heading that way: motion sensors, speech recognition, touch screen, and the

pinnacle of evil 3D

System Wars =/= Console Wars

oh and the only way for this to end is if all companies make 1 console.
