LOL, this gameplay is completly linear, from start to finish, I hope we could see this "open world durning the day" gameplay. And what is going on on screen? Nothing. It's linear, scripted game. Deal with it.Looks worse than night gameplay.

I broke down and watched some of it. Other than something as trivial as pixelated shadows, the overall detail is pretty darn impressive. Uncharted 2 may have a technical edge, but I prefer the more natural look going on here. It is a gorgeous game. Most importantly, though, the game itself is looking to be top notch.
of course with fanboy goggles on anything looks bad,who cares it slaps UC2 in scale and things on screen, enjoy liner scripted games. You say that like Alan Wake won't be linear or scripted.... It's linear during mission's,and scripted? every game is scripted this gen,but some of them are way too much (UC2).[QUOTE="Tessellation"][QUOTE="sayonara89"]

what's destructible in AW[QUOTE="Tessellation"][QUOTE="sayonara89"] So you played AW? I can see just few enemies on the screen in AW gameplays... maybe there is something wrong with my flash player... And ZERO proof for any OW gameplay, it's looks like complete linear game, just like uncharted, but with worse textures :Psayonara89you keep telling yourself that. you LOL, it looks like you have your own dream version of Alan Wake, with big open map and lots of enemies on the screen.
So you have concluded that there will be no open world gameplayfrom a 10 min video?

It's not a PS3 exclusive game.
How can there be?

what's destructible in AWI never said anything about AW but you can't really say the same about DS which literaly has no destructibility (it's not like it needs it anyways).

I didn't know that guy was talking about scripted destruction, I though he ment like completely destructible environmentsCompletly scripted destructibility? No, there is still chance for that, but what they shown to date is as linear as Uncharted.[QUOTE="BURSTIIIFIRE"][QUOTE="sayonara89"] Completly scripted destructibility? Yeah, you can see it in first gameplay.sayonara89

No, there is still chance for that, but what they shown to date is as linear as Uncharted.from what i've heard, Alan Wake will have linear levels that are connected via an open world
not exactly complicated, basically allows the player to play the levels in whatever order they want, and gives them something to do in between
The leather elbows on the jacket are a stupid addition. Why did they have to ruin the jacket with those? :P oh well.
Console graphic king? I don't see it. And everyone keeps repeating that it's some kind of non scripted non linear Crysis-like masterpiece, but i don't see that either.
