Not only is it a platform game, but it's now a platform FOR games. Because it's not just levels you'll be creating - this time you build entire games! LBP2 is massive, with an endless scope for players show off their creativity to 1 BILLION internet users.

Stream allows you to keep up with your LBP earth when away from the PS3. You can see a pal's earth, put one of their creations into your play queue, and play it when you get home.

All levels from the original are compatible with LBP2. And they even look better thanks to some up-scaling wizardry from Media Molecule. The re-mastered graphics engine also adds a flawless finish to the artwork, which has different themes from Techno Renaissance to Fluffy Hi-Tech.

I personally don't notice too much of a graphical difference. But all the info is more than enough to make it a day 1 purchase...which is rare for me when it comes to PS3/360 games.

Never got sucked into the LBP hype. I doubt this willl make me a believer. Visually it looks good though.

Reviewers were never going to review it that high. The game had a lot of bugs, and at the time of reviews there weren't that many great levels. But for its niche, us creators that make the levels, the game was near perfect.dkjestrup

Ok, im getting back into LBP right now.

I was pretty disappointed with LBP and I doubt this will make me believe the hype. However, the potential is indeed there... so consider it penciled in. ;)

Looks pretty cIassy so far. I imagine I will buy this relatively soon after launch. I really did like the first, although I don't really play it anymore.

After playing the first and experiencing some very clunky-feeling controls (they really need to take a note out of New Super Mario Bros's book), I don't care for the sequel.

I can't look passed the bad gameplay. I was so uninterested in even attempting to build my own level.

One can only hope this sequel has a nice coat of polish on it this time around.

This game will be fantastic. LBP is still one of the best PS3 games imo

Sounds like MM are addressing a few of the more fundamental flaws of the original like depending on level you can set the gravity parameters (meaning higher grav = less floaty to all the whiners), and the whole making cutscene thing sounds rather awesome.

It sounds like people are going oh but they could just update LBP 1.Look at a fair few things and some major engine overhauls are needed and MM are a buisness so they want to make money as i highly doubt they can make the same kinda dough from the DLC's produced.

Oooh, cool. Hope the editor is easier to use this time around...

Focusing on multiple genres instead of just platforming. I'd say that's a big enough change to justify a sequel.

I'm getting really angry at players who clearly never played the many fantastic creations. And Halo's forge mode is honestly rubbish in comparison. It has no innovation to it, just a level editor. The gameplay was fine too. It's just different. You can change it in this game anyways.dkjestrup
